I play this every time that I feel sad, nostalgic, or when I need motivation. The first notes to this song make you feel this rush of sad memory coming to you head. I remember the days when I used to play baseball like it was yesterday but as you grow older the time just isn’t there anymore, working is the new normal, family, responsibility’s, etc -life as the usual- .. but this reminds of the last time I got together with my friends and nobody ever knew it would be the last time we would see each other or even our last time ever holding that old baseball glove, grabbing that bat, wearing our favorite hat and enjoying that time. If I had the opportunity to go back in time I would do it everyday and every chance I had, I miss it all. Thank you for bringing this sweet memory to me..back when life made sense..
This makes me miss my friends. So bad. It makes me tear up hearing the first note because these priceless memories rush in and fill my head. I thank god every day for their existence. Every. Day. You’re not alone, I moved half way across the world and I miss my best friends too. I listen to this song and think of all the great memories we had. It really hurts the fact that I’m far from them but I know for a fact you’re gonna see your friends again and I will too.
It’s an unanticipated feeling when moving to a place that you don’t know. Excited, anxious, scared, all at the same time. It only hits you after you move that you’ve missed everyone, and you’re going to for the rest of your life. Moving to college is going to be awkward in a new town, however I can only think that it’s the best move for my future. I can only hope that the sacrifices of memories for the next two years can be made up through time. This song brings me memories I didn’t know I had stored away, and I can only think of the people that I have truly loved whether it be family or friends. I can’t decide whether it soothes me or makes me want to bawl out in tears, but it gives me some sense of “oh my god it’s all over and there’s nothing I can do about it.” Why I’m writing this, I don’t have a clue, but I hope other people can see that they aren’t alone in lonely times.

This song makes me think of life. The start of the song makes me think of the moment that you are born and near the end of the song, your final breathe. The whole song is like your journey. That's why the song makes you think of nostalgia because it makes you relive memories. It lays out all of your memories like a town or a village. You get to see every choice you made, every second, and all the choices that you could have made layed out right in front of you. To me, this is what happens when you die, all of your memories play out in front of you. Everyone knows that we always feel like we could have done more, but when this happens...you finally feel content with yourself. You finally view that you have done the best that you could. That's what this song reminds me of; your life played out right in front of you. It's like your journey to figure out who you are and you really don't know who you are until that moment of death. That's why I love this song. It's not just a song to me, it's my life. That's why it's special to everyone. Sorry if this is too long..but you know what I'm saying

@@calebgamingislit257fnaf2 I am right there with you. I have a whole mini video in my head for this song. In a nutshell I get this interretation:
You grow up and experience simple times as a kid and think of birthdays, playing with friends, taking trips with your parents and siblings for great fun. Then you're a teen and you experience all the emotions that come with it. You graduate high school and college and then you have a family with kids. You start building your family memories all while the grandparents get to see them grow up now.
Then suddenly, at the 4:23 mark of the song, it crescendos and stops followed by calming but somber music. You have just found out that you've lost yor parents and now you feel helpless because you don't know life without them. Your rock, your cornerstone, your ability to step back to a sense of saftey and security is gone forever. You receed back into your mind feeling lost and hopeless.
As the song builds and comes out of the mid section on up through the end, you realize that you are who you are because of family. YOU are now the rock and always have been for your wife and kids. You just didn't realize it until now. You finally "open your eyes," look around and see your wife, kids and that you have a nice life. You come back to reality and are a better person now.
Leading up to the end, you reconnect with your family who have missed you for so long because you allowed yourself to be down and out. You smile knowing mom and dad are watching and your wife has stayed by your side supporting you all along which gives you that long needed strength.
These new memories you are building bring joy back to your life and you realize that EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS RIGHT NOW and not in your rearview mirror.
The cycle repeats with your kids.
This is MY story and how it connected to the song to me. It's tough not to tear up as I write this.

really glad i found this. Currently feeling so down. Things that used to keep me going aren't working anymore. Tbh i don't feel like anything is worth looking forward to. I've fallen the deepest i've had ever fallen into darkness. I can hear certain things a certain someone has recently said it breaks every part of my soul down. I need to find something to hold onto. This has truly been toughest times mentally for me.

I like the pitch of the song but obviously, you were able to obtain this lower key than the song by way of having to slow the audio down. You can actually take the song into a recording app on your computer (DAW .. Look it up) and in there, you can get software with AI that detects what it's hearing and uses whatever pitch you assign it to execute such as -1 down (slow) vs +1 up (speedup).
As for the reverb, I like the use of the reverb and how you intertwined it very well with the song! The length between bars with guitar playing is severly affected by the slowing down of the song but with that said, again you found a great pitch! See if you can pitch shift the song while keeping it at full speed.
I appreciate your insight! I actually produce music myself so I know about all that. However when you repitch while keeping the bpm the same (ie complex or transient warping) it tends to leave many artifacts compared to a tempo repitch.
@@vibeified oh wow, I did not know that. come to think of it, looking at some other videos that did what I mentioned, and after reading your reply, I listened to some of those with headphones and guess what, I could hear those artifacts. Prety cool to learn something new that you aren't really listening for. What I would do to get 15 minutes of your brain for the stuff I've recorded over the years. I cannot produce a good sound to save my life. For all the instruments, I got that down pat for sound etc, but mixing and mixdown, yeah, I suck at that badly even with expensive studio grade headphones. Got any suggestions for a GOOD video on UA-cam that helps teach how to mix?

@@watchthegamer73 I’m not sure of what music you make, as mixing can vary by genre. However there’s lots of really good videos teaching general mixing and mastering on UA-cam. I can recommend the channel EDM Tips for learning mixing as I learned a lot myself from them. However, if you’d like I could arrange and try to mix your clips for you as I always enjoy working on music with other people!

I'll take a look at the videos fist and then I'll come back to this conversation and we can then maybe sync up if that's cool with you.
