Thank you for someone finally saying, that it’s a hype.. and just a bag… I have been in several Chanel shops, and I am always underwhelmed by the leather… I prefer lamb skin and smooth leather… but in the end it is just a bag… and it’s not the leather, the size, the single or double flap… it is an insane price for a bag that is hype and not that the quality improved proportionally… 😊 But you have them, so enjoy they as they are just a bag, so should be used.
Even though im a guy, i like Chanel. Oddly enough, im 27 this year and i got my first Chanel classic flap too. I wasn't picky, was just chasing a good deal and got a jumbo black patent leather f=double flap with silver hardware. I attach a crossbody strap to it to make it work with my outfits

We love them but deep down we know they only matter to us. I do love both of your bags, especially the beige one. Use them both and enjoy! That’s why we have them!

The fact that you were too busy living your life to bother with your bag is a GOOD THING ! Its so refreshing to hear someone being honest about them just being bags and not some etherial mystical life changing holy grail ! Maybe you should either sell them and use the money for an adventure that means something to you , or a fabulous coat or new sofa , or just chuck them on and USE them without worrying to much to actually SEE how they perform ?? I think many of us are "blinded" by the fact that certain bags are the "ultimate luxury must have" but then we somehow do not think about of it is really going to work for each persons (life)style. I also was on the hunt of the perfect luxury bag when I started earning money and although I have now enough to spend for one directly, I finally had to admit myself that I don't live that life or have that lifestyle to really wear and enjoy one of the luxury classics. The only luxury bag I own is a Loewe Puzzle bag, a limited edition in woven leather (bought on sale). And to be honest, even if it does suit my personal style, I unfortunately don't wear it that often. I was also looking into Hermes Kelly or Mini Jypsiere, but then I thankfully realised, even if they are gorgeous, timeless bags, I would not really wear them and I do not want to have them just laying around. I am way more into - especially vintage - designer clothes, so that is where I end up spending 🥲🤣
I sometimes have to hold myself back about a Birkin or a Kelly: one of those would be „the next one on the list“ - but I‘m quite sure, it would end up as a quite similar experience for me 😅🙈 cause I don’t live an Hermès bag life! And they are aswell just bags, not magical, mystical creatures, that will enlighten my life 😂 - so I definitely should pass and be mindful about it!
I loved hearing about the theatre crime show you attended, I've been to only one of those when I went overseas and it was fantastic! I wish that was more of a thing here in the States, it's so much fun.

Bist du dir sicher, dass es eine Jumbo ist? Sieht aus wie eine Maxi Single Flap. Heutzutage ist der Preis, den du damals bezahlt hast trotzdem okay. Ich habe die gleiche Chanel, nur als Double Flap. Caviar Leder ist meiner Beobachtung nach trotzdem beliebter. Ich denke, im Notfall wirst du den bezahlten Preis von damals trotzdem wiederbekommen. Ich finde es ist trotzdem eine wunderschöne Tasche. Die Maxi liegt mittlerweile bei 11.700€.
Aaah nee, da war tatsächlich was - ich war mir nie ganz sicher, ob Jumbo oder Maxi - ich glaub Chanel hatte irgendwann auch mal etwas an der Benamung geändert und gut möglich, dass bei VC sowieso ein falscher Begriff genannt wurde 😵💫 - wollte irgendwann mal nachmessen und mir dann aufschreiben, wie sie tatsächlich heißt - ist bisher aber nicht geschehen 😅

Wenn sie über 30 cm ist, dann ist es eine Maxi glaube 32 oder 33 cm). Ich glaube um 2010 / 2011 wurden Single Flaps hergestellt. Mir sind da mehr Maxis als Jumbos über den Weg gelaufen. P.S. Ich habe meine auch blind gekauft, ohne sie jemals gesehen zu haben und trage sie selten aber sie wird nicht ausziehen, weil sie absolut mega ist. 😊
Anything is worth it as long as you love it. At any cost. Anything you stop loving or don't love as much isn't worth it. To me, even at retail price, Birkin isn't worth it.
