@@Kitbats Indeed. Batman toys sold so well because of his multiple "Bat-Suits", "Bat-Gadgets", & "Bat-Vehicles". But I'm a bit disappointed in Todd, he's got the creativity to create all these "Spawn creatures", but neglected to give a "Hell Spawn" gunslinger a "Hell Horse". Now that's definitely a missed opportunity (especially w/ all the articulated horses in toylines like Masters of the Universe Classics).

i liked my old 90's spawn figure..... wish it had more articulation though but these new ones are much better imo. only difference is, I want a spawn with the 90's deco. , i want the red where the red belongs
I could care less about Spawn, but I had to pre-order this figure just because it looks so cool. I’m so happy to see that he actually has good articulation. It’s not great, but pretty good for McFarlane Toys.

@@ToyShiz yeah, thinking maybe this might be the design for gunslinger #1. Todd Mcfarlane did point out the added gauntlet change when he was first showing off the figures on Instagram so maybe there is a reason for it that he is teasing.
Glad I pre-ordered this one before they sold out. They had a spend $100 get $25 off deal going on so I got Redeemer for free. I agree with some of the criticism though, there should be some washes or better paint apps or something. It just looks too "new" to me. He should look weathered, looks like there is some dirt on pants and it's not just one solid color. I've seen some great customs of these figures, but they just kind of seem like a step down quality wise in that department with some of the figures compared to stuff they were able to do with their past lines. I was looking at that gnarly Al Simmons Zombie solider figure and while it lacks the articulation, it looks like it would be the newer figure execution wise.... Also keeping in mind that these are some fantastic looking figures for the $20 price point. The Violator looks dope.
It looks very cool. I'm sticking with the original Gunslinger, but I love how this has more articulation for posing options. If anybody didn't get their chance having the original, I would grab this in a heartbeat.

I honestly think Todd has his formula down. The first waves of spawn toys in the 90's were not all that deluxe! Paint apps were no where near what the later waves were! You get the line out, you test the hype, then you up the ante when youre rolling in money! That's where I think we are. These aren't the "masterpieces" yet. And to be honest I think we have it better! New modern articulation and paint, and unbelievable sculpt work. Could you have imagined this figure in wave one or two of the original spawn line!!??? Love your videos shiz and I'm glad you see the value in this line, because we can only go up from here!!!
First I pre ordered Raven spawn, Redeemer, Violator, and Clown from Walmart when they first showed up and then shot over to target to pre order Gunslinger but they had already sold out. So after countless web checking I finally was able to find it on a site called Damingtoys for a reasonable price with shipping cost. Can't wait for the second wave, I really hope he does Plague or even a cogliostro figure in his new form. Definitely buying all of them no matter what lol Life sucked without seeing Spawn at the store

Definitely needs a black wash and more silver on the rifle holster which I will be adding to it when i get my Gunslinger Spawn. Looks like we are slowly going to get more spawn figures but sadly they are still lacking paints. Wish Todd would just make less figures for a higher price but with great paint apps.

I finally found one at target, these are practically sold out around where I live and scalpers are charging double online which is fucking ridiculous. I like the figure a lot don’t get me wrong my only gripes I have is that the rifle should’ve been made with a harder plastic that way the barrel on it doesn’t look all bent and warped. The rifle holster could’ve had some silver paint on the buckle and pouches, looks unfinished just being all in brown, if the guns and everything else was detail painted, why wasn’t the holster? Also wished this included an extra set of hands (all figures should have that option not just this specific one). I still love this figure it’s absolutely badass and I’d definitely recommend picking one up if you can find it (within a reasonable price). Looking forward to seeing what’s next up in the line!
Toyshiz is my go too spawn/dc reviewer. I like this figure too a degree, the only think i dont like is the hat. Other then that I love this figure. Hoping too pick up at least one spawn figure, trying to get a violater.mcfarlane toys is making their name in the figure isles again and i love it.

Lol back again. Literally just found the gunslinger spawn the other day. I'm so with you man the old spawn figures have so much better paint and detail. But I get they do the articulation thing and have to blend it the best they can. I do agree with paints on these guys though. Like the raven spawn that staff needs more paint just like this gunslingers sheath for his rifle and the the knife sculpted on to the leg. Like why cant that have some paint? Love your reviews I do really love the figure, but nothing comes close to the classics💯

Unfortunately I collect them because they are toys so I guess I won't be getting these. One of my rules of collecting is that it has to function as a toy because my love was born from toys not small detailed statues.
This figures almost perfect except the hat's a mismatch. That's not a cowboy / gunslinger hat. That's a circus hat. And it ruins it. For comparison you could look up wild west Ghost Rider and see the difference.

@@ToyShiz you're not wrong. The modern cowboy hat we have today was not actually worn (or available) during the couple decades of the "west." They wore bowlers, bucket hats, flat caps, flat wide brimmed,etc. There were some Civil War command hats similar to what we have now, but not the cowboy hat we all think of. The crown on Spawn's hat is tall, but the overall style is accurate to time.

If paint and sculpt improve to what they were on the early 2000s figures, AND you get the modern level of articulation, that's a home run. My 2 favorite Spawn figures of all time would probably be Series 27 I.85, and the Masterworks Classic. I have to say, Todd did an outstanding job with the Classic in every department (even if the non-removable cape is a minus), and for everything you get, $40 is a tremendous value.

finally was able to pick this figure up at target. great figure but yeah, they were very lazy in terms of paint detailing.
I think the stovepipe hat is more menacing and fits Spawn's look more then a regular old cowboy hat. Awesome figure
