That's one expensive oil change! It's great that you "show your work", so to speak. I can't think of another new vehicle dealer of any type or brand who does this.
Man, a 2019 URAL--whether it was a GearUp or a Tourist/CT was a chunk of change new. Can't believe you wouldn't take care of that kind of investment. Wonder if the owner will be more attentive after the rebuild...
I change my oil based on how it looks, not mileage. If it looks dark and nasty I change it. Love the way they pull the engine without pulling the rear wheel or final drive. Very elegant.
I have an 1982 Honda Sabre 750 which runs the same oil in the engine and transmission, all together. I could feel the shifting get kind rough at 800 miles if I used the recommended 10/40 oil . But when I went to a straight grade of 30 in diesel higher detergent engine oil, the bike shifted smoothly up to around 1400 miles . Makes yuh wonder don't it ?? No matter , oil is golden , and it should stay that way. Ehh
In the summer I sometimes change oil after 800 miles if it starts getting dark so this exact scenario doesn't happen. I will never understand how people can spend their hard earned money and then not take care of it
in the video he said "several thousand" which is a bit vague, I cant believe that all that damage was done to a low mileage engine just through lack of oil changes, he said it had the dealer service change, which I am guessing would be at 500 miles maybe. I would suspect there is more to this than we are being told, I change the oil on my bikes every 5000 miles as per the manufacturers spec, and never had this issue, ever.
I have a 2019 Gear Up and I'm also wondering how many miles. Sounds like some information is lacking for what ever reason. If they are going to say "Lack of maintenance" as a reason they should be a little more specific. Sounds fishy.
@@Sir.Fisher It could mean quite a lot if you change oils at 5000 miles in your Ural. Service intervals are 310 miles for initial service and every 3125 miles thereafter. 5000km = 3125 miles.

I doubt it.
I have one from the 70s that has started to refuse starting so I may consider this
He saved a couple hundred bucks on oil though!😂
Love the videos!!! Still doing the annual open house this year?
Yes, last Saturday in July

Unbelievable that people can do this. He may learn a valuable lesson now.
Сколько пробег на этом моторе?
Wow. Can’t believe the oil change was ignored.
Too bad.

Any thoughts on the felt differences multi grade straight grade oil ??

Didn't want to spend over $3000? Well, I wonder if he will get it out of the shop or donate it.
