Every time, We are cooking hotel-style foods which are not prepared at home often. But now, we are going to cook a regular dish which you cook often at home. So how you can make a big difference in your regular cooking style?
Most people's regular dish is Totamo rice
but we're gonna add some special ingredients and give it a more punchy taste. So I picked this up today
Today, we're gonna see how to make a perfect hotel style Tomato Rice
Here are the ingredients for this Tomato rice
Boiled raw rice 350 gms
Mustard seed 1/4 tsp
Round red chillies 2 nos
Onion sliced half -Tomato 2 nos
Green chilli 2 nos
Garlic 8 nos
Urad dhal 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram dhal 1/2 tsp
Cashew nut 5 nos
fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder a pinch
Kashmiri chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida 2 pinch
Fresh mint leafs 10 nos
salt to taste
oil 2 tbsp

1)potato cubes cooked and roasted in ghee, mildly salted (2)soya chunks nano(smallest size) immersed in boiling salted water, squeezed and roasted in ghee......
We will add little pepper powder along with chili powder👍

In Tomatoe rice recipe, I almost chop garlic finely add along with seasonings. Rest of the process are the same. Finally half spoon of ghee, finely chopped mint&coriander leaves are garnished and closed for a couple of minutes before serving or packing lunch box.

Hi chef.I boil rice in this masala in the cooker.I add 1spoon Dhaniya powder and half spoon Garam masala.
Instead of pudina I add kasuri methi.

Adding mint leaves to tomato rice is a good idea. Another alternative would be adding basil leaves. Tomato and basil is an excellent combo.

Sir we have to add in any recipe either onoin or asafoetida it's not advisable
In our old great grandma's recipe to use both
It's good to add asafoetida, it'll give you a nice flavour.
