- For a new series, the legendary David Hockney invited us into his studio for a chat. But in a twist, it wasn't TateShots asking the questions. Instead, we got you, loyal viewers, to do the hard work for us via the medium of Twitter.

Top bloke, down to earth Northerner! Love how he gives simple, personal explanations on his work.
I can usually try really hard, often straining to think of maybe ten real inspirations alive right now. Mr. Hockney is always right at the top of that list. An utter hero, not just as an artist but as a man, and a human being in general.
pippensculps I agree I will always be a bit obsessed with him and his work.
Are you able to articulate why? I've seen two of his exhibitions, and enjoyed them, but am keen to learn more.

The man he just don't give a shit. Ace. He says the world is too dreary nowadays. So he don't give a dam. What beauty. The world need people like Mr Hockney. He makes my world a better place ; > )

Stay inspired.. I had a chew habit snuff tobacco long cut tobacco put some cloves and pepper corns between my cheek and gums and now chew on carrots and occasionally ice now to talk shop met a man at a Toyota dealership he quit ciggs so did I that shit is can I have and will admire telly sevalals like to reward it with up most respect you can do it toothpaste sensodyne mint and lots of coffees all sorts of teas but wtf I need the bass to be myself

an artist of some ability who has produced much work that is either bland or decidedly art school.....time he retired methinks....very overrated!!!!
