"Gerrymandering" such that Farage and Galloway supporters have popularity either cocentrated in a few geographical areas; or sometimes to do the opposite, such that there is a wide geographical spread which cannot break the threshold to win. This is why the Cambridge Analytica case was significant, and corporate social media has become a lever for elections.
UK now ranked just 28th in the world....and falling fast.
Britain's New Zionist PM Protected MI6 Torturers, P@edophile Jimmy Saville & Hunted Assange....
Still far too few people have woken up to realise that flip-flopping between labour and conservative is what the system wants you to do.
Until the sleepy masses endure suffering they won't wake up - it's a pain we must go through
@deezelfairy I think you are correct. But sadly by the time they do wake up, it will be far too late to change anything. Labour will welcome a tsunami of highly dangerous fake refugees.
@deezelfairy funny. I replied to you and mentioned the individuals floating across from France. UA-cam deleted the comment very quickly
@@deezelfairy Basically yes. People only change when they're pushed to the edge of annihilation.
Precisely and after pain there's more to pay up, yet, if they dare! @deezelfairy
The UK election results strike me more as a strong rejection of the Tories than a strong endorsement of Labour.
Labour's vote only improved in Scotland where the SNP have been caught being fraudulent.
And what difference this makes? People still sleeping.
On point.
Spot on.
When was the last time you voted for someone you wanted and not voted in spite?
Grant Shapps was my MP and it was a pleasure to vote reform to kick his arse out!
Great news.
Well done.
We are all left with small satisfactions! Baby face defense secretary gone without his longed-for war.
Now Welwyn Hatfield have a Labour MP. Well done @Scif64 for not sticking to the norm.
@@lonalxaia would never vote labour but Shapps needed to go and reform was the only choice.
No matter what they tell themselves, the reality is that this wasn't a win for Labour. Just that people are sick of the Tories.
Absolutely 100%.
Are you all deluded? Does anyone of you understand what is coming upon your heads? Who cares how Tories feel, when the Labour will demolish your country completely?
The mental gymnastics of that comment is truly remarkable. Labour had a crushing victory.
@@user-pj5ub5cp9kwith a smaller vote than Jeremy Corbyn lost with!
It was literally handed to them on a wef platter!
Over 14% of the vote = 4 seats, 12% over 70 seats. Our system is BROKEN!
Our voting system is rigged.
And if Farage had become PM you would be praising the system. Grow up child!
Huh?
Knocking out top parties is a long process. Follows an S curve. Everyone will be on one side, then slowly, then quickly will be a move to the other. Sounds like Reform is in the middle of that curve. Be of good cheer.
@@simonsmedley5434 The same complaints were made by Labour supporters when they lost the last election - it's definitely something that needs to be looked at but right now isn't the time
Galloway was absolutely blacked out of media, almost 100%. And of course not invited to any debates where he would have wiped the floor with either Starmer or Sunak. Starmer is actually not Labour at all. I would say Conservative masquerading as Labour.
A shame he isn't back in, I'd have been chuffed if GG, Farage, Bridgen and Corbyn had all sitting. 2/4
I would say WEF stooge with no principles at all.
Completely agree.
That's what is lacking in the discussion here. The British establishment wanted Starmer, so they made sure the dominant media foregrounded Sunak's right nemesis, finance capital city spiv Farage, and filtered out Starmer's nemesis, George Galloway and various true-left independents. Galloway also spouted foolishly about his religious beliefs going against gay marriage etc.
The parallels to the US are clear. Biden is not a Democrat either, not in the 'Old Left' sense. He's a conservative Blue Dog Democrat from the 1950s. Clinton purged the Democratic Party of 'old left' members to make it another big business party. The only mavericks, and all the political energy, comes from the right.

I grew up in Africa and moved to the UK at 27 yrs of age. I found the UK to be horribly corrupt. In Africa everyone can participate in the corruption.
In the UK there is a verneer of justice , however it is clear that upon closer inspection it is also a system prone to racketeering.
but your still here, when will you and your 10 children return to africa.
It didn't used to be like that, but over the past fifty plus years, it has become a very corrupt place, money talks and power has followed the money. There's no real justice
@@prestoncrewnarrowboaters8619 Thatcher
@@prestoncrewnarrowboaters8619 Agree, our country was once a "high-trust" society. Up until around the late seventies or eighties, we basically trusted each other in the small town where I was brought up. We even trusted the police and thought that although there might be a few "bad apples" in the force, basically you would get justice and if you weren't a criminal, you had nothing to fear! How things have changed! I certainly don't trust the police any more, not just because of corruption, though clearly that exists, but also because of the 1984 type "Thought Police" who can charge a person with various non-crimes which don't make any sense to me. Think of the behaviour of the Police during the Lock downs! Being of fairly low status (my husband a retired engineer and myself a retired teaching assistant and writer) we have never been bribed to do or not do anything...we are not important enough... but we know there's a lot of corruption around and some local council deals stink to high heaven. We can no longer trust the central government either, and there seems to be a lot of profitable deals given to friends and family of politicians. Obviously this happened a lot during Co vid and is now going on because of Uk raine. I think deals with powerful Pharmaceutical Companies and the NHS are also a source of much corruption. I despair and grow increasingly wary of trusting government officials now.
I also grew up in Africa as well and from what I have seen the UK is very corrupt. But its better build into the system than it is in Africa. Also there is a lot of cognitive dissonance here. And they don't notice the corrupt until you point it out to them. An example of of this is the corruption of state capture in the UK is the same as it is in South Africa.
Who still believes that the counting system is working properly?
The liberal democrat shared 12.2% votes and won 71 seats; the reform UK shared 14.3% votes but won 4 seats, how fair is this voting system?
Grow up FFS! Sour grapes!
Lib Dem voters/support are primarily clustered in southern English constituencies. So their natural support is higher in a smaller number of seats, mostly second to the tories historically, so when the tory vote collapsed in these seats the Lib Dems pick them up. Reform's support is more evenly spread out across the country. In many seats, particularly in the midlands and north, Reform came second or third to Tory/Labour.
In Australia, the guy they outsourced the Polling Station Staffing to is a WEF Stooge...
"They stole it fair and square!"
Historically the LibDems have complained about the unfairness of the first past the post system.
I suspect they'll be a bit quieter about it for a few years.
Hope the curse of Zelensky hits Starmer.
Absolutely. And, ASAP.
The curse of living next to a country run by a sadistic genocidal psychopath like Putin?
He should refrain from the well trodden and cursed path of travelling to Kiev as soon as he takes power.
If he minds his business and concentrates on making Britain great, he will surely not catch the virus.
That curse affects the entire World.
It won’t be long before he is kissing his ring!😂
Im astounded at the amount of people who still think their vote matters at all.
Starmer won 9,712,011 votes
In 1997 John Major won 9,591,085 votes in the catastrophic Conservative defeat. When the population was a lot lower.
People recognise that no change will be made through the ballot box.

Here is a brilliant analysis of the current UK political landscape by Mr. Mercouris. Well done, sir!
The BBC finally got their man in parliament!!
And Sky News, did you hear orgasmic moan.
Of the 48 million registered voters, only 1 in 5 cast a vote for Labour. On average, it took 23,500 votes for each Labour MP vs 1,025,500 for each Reform MP. Fine example of representative democracy!
The most interesting thing happend in scotland , they allowed 16 years old to vote in order to leave the UK, but the young generation like labour and Reform and it basically killed the SNP.
It's not a proportional system.
Why is that party called Labour?
Has a single member of the political class of that party done even a single day of labour in their lives?
Long answer, NO.
Probably the best explanation of the UK election's outcome that you'll hear anywhere.
Starmer “we need more immigrants, and higher taxes “ 🥴
Now what we need is Farage to oppose support for the Ukraine War in Parliament and the other wars too

The electoral system in Britain reflects the general IQ of the population. The fact that Galloway lost his seat reinforces my statement.
True Britain the home of head bangers .
Sad to see Andrew Brigdon and George Galloway out of the Commons. They added a huge dose of colour and honesty which will be missed.

Alexander is spot on. I can't think of another commentator who has his level of insight.
It feels criminal that with 4 million votes, reform has 4 seats.
First past the post system does prevent constant bureaucratic infighting, but it doesn't feel very democratic.
UKIP had the same problem. Strangely enough Reform got around 4m votes as did UKIP when they broke through.
It doesn't feel democratic because it isn't.
Recounts at Basildon delayed result but Reform won there so total number of Reform MPs is now 5
"One man one vote" lol
It suits the WEF
Alexander, I am in awe of (and envious of) your incredible memory, especially your memory for detail!
It's a big club and we are not in it.
I wonder if Carlin would win if his name were on the ballot this year. He's only a bit more dead than Biden and had a lot more wisdom to impart.
David Lammy, Foreign Secretary. "Abandon hope all ye who enter here."
For anyone who hasn't seen it, look at David Lammy when he was on the quiz show Mastermind. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
There'll be a reshuffle before too long and he'll be sent to a ministry where he can do less harm, Minister of droughts and floods something like that.
Whats more significant is that Jeremy Corbin won best part of a million votes MORE than Starmer but lost by 80 seats
Where is the value of one man one vote… such a democracy sham!
Thank you, gentlemen.
Absolutely nothing will change.
This pantomime would be hillarious if it weren't so tragic as a reflection of humanity's consciousness... but that is changing- it'll change big time when Farage pulls one over on and screws the nation! 😅

Indeed, but I still have my doubts. No one who goes against the given narrative will be tolerated. Starmer removed all of the actual true l labour members Inc Corbyn, for that very reason. Zionism has ruled the western world for centuries, disguised as democracy, and the Israeli lobby rules all government and Parliament.
I still don't understand Britain's election processes. However I am happy to hear that the political machines are failing. Here in the US, the overwhelming majority of politicians are indentured to the machine at best. And the machine feeds those who feed the machine.
Here in Tasmania, when a 3rd party got traction, the uniparty changed the voting boundaries, to keep them out.
Reform got 13 seats in the exit poll, the actual result was 5 seats.

There were quite a few seats where Reform UK finished second behind the Labour winner of the seat, pushing the Conservative or Liberal candidate into third place in those seats. A relatively small shift of votes from Labour and/or Consrvative next election will deliver many more sych seats to Reform. Badenough and Braverman were also in the running, but having had one leader from the Third world do so badly, I have a hunch they would have been wise enough to avoid and go straight to Mordaunt as she is a a military stooge and safe bet. I don't think its correct to say Reform did well under the present electoral system, which just keeps Labour or the Tories in power, while disenfranchising a huge block of voters. Reform won 14% of the popular vote, and came a strong second in many constituencies. Under proportional representation, Reform would be entitled to 91 seats, while Labour would get 220 seats. The elephant in the room is with that many seats, every bill will pass, every _socialist_ bill... 👾
its not a socialist bill if it doesnt help the working class
@@krishna-e-bera Socialist legislation that hurts the working class is nothing new. For example, here in the US the state of California recently enacted a much higher minimum wage law which was popular but caused large numbers of working class employees to quickly lose their jobs because the employers' customers were unwilling to pay high enough prices to cover the cost of the higher wages. When Obama enacted his Obamacare health plan, millions of wage earners ended up with worse health care plans that cost more. And socialist immigration policy is to import more unskilled workers to compete with the native born working class to keep wages down. Obama enacted a bill to get older cars off the road which resulted in much higher prices for used cars that working class buyers need because US cities are all constructed around the automobile and public transport is typically inadequate for their needs. And don't get me started on socialist "climate" policies that force the working class to pay much higher prices for energy, or socialistic schemes to make working class taxes subsidize the costly college educations of the middle class.

Wow I actually was very disappointed with the results this morning, but now that Alexander has explained that in fact there has been a huge protest vote and Labour had a hollow victory, it looks like there is some hope of radical change in the future.
gotta wait 4 more years
Alexander should have also acknowledged that Labour voters voting tactically for Lib Dems also helped to stop some Conservative wins.
Proud to say I voted Reform party .
The Reform party is going to be the dominant right wing party. Forget the Tories.
Shame how they got second place.
They got 7th place
Might have got more votes if he wasn't so pro Israel.
@@123fuhfrtgfh it's a young party and it will gain momentum if the Labour party makes things even worse than the Tories.
@@JohnScott-bb2pm they are a new party. Forget the Tories. They don't represent conservative values.
You have to remember that the Reform party was parachuted in at the last minute, Farage turned up and said his party was standing in this GE.
British elections including media coverage before election is geared to keep alternative candidates and parties from standing. So outsiders have social media that’s why the system is attempting to limit social media access too.
I disagree Farage's win is revolutionary. The door was opened for him by the Establshment i.e. bein given time on TV, pulling out the Labour candidate in his constituency. The Establishment want him to form the second party after the Tory collapse
The fact that Liz Truss has lost her seat has made my day.
Icing on the cake! 😊
The Zelenski curse strikes again ...
Vote distribution as bad as the Australian Senate where 200,000 Tasmanians have 12 Senators, the same as NSW with 7 million people.
The absolute best geo political analysis and commentary, always wait to hear The Duran when something is going on 👍🥰
Was a disaster for the woke SNP from 47 to 9
The answer to Alex's first question is in how the "first past the post" electoral system works. The general election is the sum of 650 independent local elections. Hypothetically if there were only 2 parties, Labour and Tories, and in every one of the 650 regions, Labour won by 1 vote. Then nationally Labour would have won the entire election by only 650 individual votes. Hence to 1 decimal place, Labour and Tories would have 50.0% of the votes each but Labour would have 650 seats and Tories would have 0 seats. So a party with millions of votes does not necessary end up with a large number of won seats.
A revolutionary moment indeed for the UK and Reform UK.
All we need now is to change the electoral system to Proportional Representation.
Really? How about an alternative to politics? Are human beings so stupid as to never try new systems of governance?
We have it in OZ, guarantees 2 party system....New system needed...Sorry ,we have preferential.... got my p's mixed up ...🙃....you are right, and we need proportional too.
