“I’m honouring the life I’ve got” I relate to this so much! This was entertaining and very inspiring. The evolution is impressive. Thank you so much! Subscribed 😊 ps. Love your photos especially because of how much foreground you leave in the composition. I personally think it’s very beautiful and calming 😅
Great photos and excellent video. I've only been shooting film for about 6 months but I find I use my digital camera to kind of "scout" shots and locations lol. Kind of like using the DSLR as the demo version of the album track film shot. I love how you said "Is that shot going to be any good? I don't know." lol I think that's what I like best about shooting film. After a while you just sort of get a feeling about things and if the shot will be any good. Subscribed to your channel.
Hey! Great video, with good editing, and good photos. Love the memes and the way you make it serious later in the video. Love the way you reflect on your own work, I think that's key to becoming a better photographer!
I've never really been into photography. However, in October last year my friend bought me a Pentax K1000 and I fell in love. Everything you've said in this video has been my feelings exactly, film just has a different feeling to it that I never got with digital cameras. Great video btw :)
I really resonate with the shoot where you see what you see. I’ve been consciously doing it recently because I feel like when I move for the “better shot” I don’t feel the same about it.
Yeah man, I feel like we could be friends IRL. I've had a similar journey. I work as a commercial director/dp and just got so sick of all the year, all the perfection, all the feedback on something being 1% not perfect enough. Then I tried shooting film photography and I fell in love. I get to shoot stuff that will never be perfect. There is no instant loop between post and production and I just have space to be a human enjoying my life around me. I take a shot and move on. My trip isn't about my photography. My photography is about my trip. If you know what I mean. I will never be popular with it and I really don't care. I just love looking at some of the snaps I've taken over the past 2 years. Film photography is almost like a therapy for artists in the digital age.
6:06 😲i had no idea Ektachrome Underwater existed! If you're willing to part ways I'll buy them or trade film with you. I'm being 100% serious, shooting expired film is life.

Thanks for watching!
Have you used vintage glass white digital cameras? Would be curious to see what you think of that experience
No not yet but it’s a combo I’ve been meaning to try. From what I’ve seen it adds a lot of character to digital
@@TommyGrisselFilms it totally does! I use my FD lenses on my digital cameras every once and a while and it's always fun!
1:09 who's the photographer at the bottom with the buzz cut? I used to follow him but I completely forgot his name

Is there anytime you turn flash off when shooting film? Like bright outdoors, through a windshield, etc?
flash make dark go bye-bye.
I don't use flash much but it's something i need to explore with some of my landscape photography
Do you feel like digital photography is easier?
No, not really. There’s a time and a place for each medium though.

One day you'll realise the XA2 is better than the XA, damn I use that camera more than my Leica ahah
