  • Dunhuang, where the four civilizations meet, belongs to both China and the world. At the foot of Mingsha Mountain, beside the Dangquan River, Mogao Grottoes stand quietly. The 735 caves on the cliff face tell the story of thousands of years. President Xi Jinping once said, " I have been longing for Dunhuang." When you visit Dunhuang, you will be more sympathetic to Xi's idea of "exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations."

A country without a strong cultural heritage and history will eventually collapse. President Xi is a great leader with a great vision.

" With confidence in your Culture and Identity" can you then have the ability to achieve "OPENESS" to others and mankind. Such deep meaning words from XI.

A people’s true self-confidence arise when they collectively understand their own past history, let them be glorious eras and extreme tough times, this is the incredible journey of Chinese rejuvenation.

This reiterates the Wisdom of moving confidently forward, while never forgetting the past. It is very moving to see President Xi embody and put into his leadership this ancient philosophy. This documentary reveals Xi's deeply historic-religious personality, and also his profound poetic imagination.

Again, impressed by President Xi's commitment to understand all aspects of China's beautiful past through social sciences and observation are impressive. You don't see this commitment from other world leaders to seek and understand and preserve the past. In other countries, more efforts to cover it up are made.

Proszę o więcej wzruszeń i wrażeń ... opowieści o dawnej cywilizacji, o zaczątkach symbiozy powstania, wzajemnego poszanowania... Dziękuję, cenię sobie z Cesarzem w tle, głosem nagrania.

India lost Buddhism while China gained and preserved it. Present day Indians don't even lament this loss but are instead busy in proving some mythical stories to be their true history.

Sorry to say but the Cultural Revolution of Mao destroyed most historic treasures

Yes. Fanatism was over board at that time. But many historic treasures still survive and many are yet to be found. With 5ooo years of history and culture , it is NOT so EASY to destroy or eradicate . I spend 3 solid days in A Beijing Museum just admiring the contents there.

It is true, but compared to the KMT which is the government of Taiwan, KMT destroyed more historical relics due to their ideology of "westernisation", their actions led to many destruction across China. Additionally, the British and other western forces destroyed many artefacts and stolen thousands of them during the Opium War, an entire summer palace was gone in an instant by the British, now many relics are displayed in their own museums, locked away, even actioned to other nations.
Mao Zhedong is no different, he also embraced westernisation. At one time, he nearly wipe out the entire Chinese writing system, he believed that Chinese writing without Alphabets will not catch up onto the West's constant development which will lead to China being a backwards nation. He wanted the Pinyin system to be applied so the Chinese are able to use computers, luckily Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union stopped Mao in time, telling him to embrace the Chinese writing, ancient and unique where no other country could fully master it. Because of this action, researchers developed a system where you can type Pinyin to get the desired character on computers, now even handwriting keyboards were developed, soon the successful development of smart system where they predict what word combination you are trying to get for a sentence.
