4k dollars seems about par for the course on those stats(72v 3kw sustained power and the battery size) from the non big named bikes this year. I like how they're getting cheaper and cheaper. And if you order from China(where almost all of these come from at least originally)you can save a nice chunk more if you don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks. When it comes down to it I think compared to overpaying for a Talaria or Surron etc these are a nice grab. Though if I had 4k I've dish out a few hundred more for a Falcon M. It's a nice step up for a few hundred bucks. 4kw/8kw peak. 35wh battery for starters. Plus the components are a nice step up as well in quality. And the fine tuning app is a huge plus. IMO that is. Obv with something so expensive don't take some stranger online in the YT comments' word for it. But you should check the Falcons out. It's got a great look(though this one does as well).
I actually like the Solar Eclipse it looks good but just a few issues 1 the motor placement is in such a vulnerable position. I heard you shouldn’t make big jumps with it. However that’s contradictory because it’s a E dirt bike. 2 other fast E bikes like the lyric Voodoo that goes above 65 mph can get away without being registered simply because it has pedals. At least you can argue with a pig if it comes to that because it’s a E-bike with pedals. The solar eclipse has none. I know the pigs are already caught on to the Sur Rons. But hey thumbs up this comment please and let me know what you think?
Dirt bikes go thru creeks, mud, and other water obstacles. Can an E BIKE do that then take on the wash down afterwards to clean it?? Most cannot making them a play in the dry dirt ebike..😂
The e-clipse is like 6k and yea based off the motor placement and swing arm design it shouldn't be jumped or rode too hard. I think I saw somewhere even the company recommends not to jump it. I think it's more a commuter emoto with a motosport design. I considered the e-clipse vs the eride and I'll go with the eride for the fact that it's cheaper, u get roughly the same top speed, but with the benefit of it actually being a capable off road/wheelie bike plus the battery is faster/easier to access

Ive been doing my research for the past month or so and ill probably end up getting the cs20 cylone mk2 after Christmas. It comes with a 5000w rear hub motor so its a lot quieter, has pedals already installed and the road package has blinkers for $3750.

I had to think HARD before dropping $2500 on my HyperScrambler 2; it’s getting into the “not a good value” area. $3500+ is definitely into engine powered scooter territory. Get a nice one for less money and pay the taxes and get the training to be street legal. Hell, even a 49cc scooter I’d a better value. Run it all day for $20 in gas at 35 mph. Quick fill ups, long term durability over thousands of miles, not huge battery expense down the road. Riding these illegal eBikes on the street (as you’re doing) is going to bring The Man down on all of us.

Battery usually gets 1000 charge cycles which if you use it. Daily is like 2 years if you occasionally use. It could be longer as long as you maintain the voltage. True 72 V batteries charge to 84 V. But if they're being stored, you wanna keep them in the neighborhood of 74 to 76 V. To not hurt the battery and it must be kept in a warm area when not in use.
Honestly If you’re really looking for a budget friendly option you know these bikes aren’t really budget friendly. They cost a lot to upgrade want a new battery 2/3 the price of the bike itself want a new controller 1/3 the price of the bike itself

Belt drive reduction gear like a Surron, no thanks. That is ok with street riding but for dirt that belt will get shredded, just like the Surrons. Hence chain drive conversion. Talaria with the gear drive reduction is the only way to go for dirt.
Yes this is a ridiculous price. Lectric Bike is well advertised and excellent reviews. Very affordable. Going above 25 mph is dangerous on a bike. The author of this article really is not practical as far as the price of a fun what most consider a recreational toy like a snowmobile or water ski fun.

They have nicely engineered aluminum frames just like nice sport bikes, thick rear swingarm, and the suspension goes deeper than my mountain bike and dirt bike combined lol.
