iTsSo FlUfFy Its not that Big Bang doesn't have their own thing...but Shinee is the only group I know that dressed more feminine and sang more feminine songs than the other boy groups before them at the time of their debut 2008. While the other boy bands before 2008 presented themselves as hard core (Both Super Junior and BigBang), Shinee took a different approach in Ring Ding Dong, wearing furs and makeup. They broke traditional male style by wearing colorful clothing, make-up and Taemin often has worn long hair, even before BigBang experimented with it. Shinee is responsible for the ever popular "Shinee Style" in Korea, hence why so many Kpop boy bands are also experimenting with feminine looks. But Shinee was the first to do it. They also have really interesting tempos in their music and they popularized synchronization in the dance. (Watch their MV Sherlock). Shinee is highly talented as well. Jonhgyun is a really strong singer, Onew is a really soft singer, Minho is a great rapper, Key is the singer with the most unique voice, and Taemin is an excellent dancer. We usually say shinee opened the door and exo growl initiated 3rd gen. If you knew kpop in 2nd era you will already know this well but before Sherlock and other 3rd gen songs were released, kpop choreo was not that dynamic, creative, hard, and also tired... It was the first choreo that members move from one edge to the other edge, the formation changing greatly and only one person dancing in each part, using shadows, and even two songs are combined in Sherlock. And more surprisingly, there are some other SHINee's songs that pioneered key elements of kpop. My boyfriend brought me into SHINee by showing me MV Sherlock in 2012. I suddenly got a crush on long-haired Taemin. Such a long time after MJ's passing, I haven't seen someone could be this cool, pretty, and his dancing be this fascinating. I was so shocked when realizing he was only 18 at that time. These years my boyfriend and I go toghether to one and another SHINee and Taemin's concerts. I believe in sharing our love for SHINee make us love each other more. Now he's my husband and we just attended Taemin's Sirius concert in Japan 4 weeks ago. :)

@@cloddiehoppers Well, in general SHINee do not have an actual Universe as in, for example Exo or Aespa. The general view of their comebacks goes more like in separated concepts. Each of their albums has an special vibe, story and musicalization. But, for example they had some years where they had multiple comebacks (e.g 2013: Misconception of Me, Misconception of U, Everybody) and there is still a connection between them, specially in Repackage albums. I would recommend to hear the separated tittle tracks, all of them are awesome and have something of their own ❤️. Dorothy Bonaparte EXO has great dancing but SHINee beats them by a lot. ALL of SHINee can dance really well, and not saying all of EXO can't, but SHINee's choreo is more... complex? They are also quite fun, and I can see they put a lot of time into it. To me, SHINee has the best dancing in SM.
+Andrea Hyung i think they're both PHENOMENAL, but just keep in mind that it's more difficult to get 9 (previously TWELVE) people to dance perfectly in sync compared to only 5 people. also, some of exo's choreographies are very complex and intricate as well (growl and love me right especially), but exo and shinee have completely different dancing styles too so it's a bit useless to compare them anyway. the best dancing in sm is sm the performance tho, without a doubt in my mind. eunhyuk and donghae from sj, yunho from dbsk, kai and lay from exo and minho and taemin from shinee.

EXO has hard songs to dance to, like MAMA (I mean, even Jongin complained about that one) and EXO has good vocals as well. I think each SM group is good at a lot of stuff, but each group has their own.... asset that makes them shine through and different from the other groups. SHINee's would be dancing, I would say. It's all personal preference, of course, but I do think EXO has talent in dancing, but it seems some dances aren't as hard as others (cpugh wolf wough) and the same applies to SHINee, of course. Such a long time after MJ's passing, I haven't seen someone could be this cool, pretty, and his dancing be this fascinating. I was so shocked when realizing he was only 18 at that time. These years my boyfriend and I go toghether to one and another SHINee and Taemin's concerts. I believe in sharing our love for SHINee make us love each other more. Now he's my husband and we just attended Taemin's Sirius concert in Japan 4 weeks ago. :)

@@cloddiehoppers Well, in general SHINee do not have an actual Universe as in, for example Exo or Aespa. The general view of their comebacks goes more like in separated concepts.
Each of their albums has an special vibe, story and musicalization. But, for example they had some years where they had multiple comebacks (e.g 2013: Misconception of Me, Misconception of U, Everybody) and there is still a connection between them, specially in Repackage albums.
I would recommend to hear the separated tittle tracks, all of them are awesome and have something of their own ❤️. Pick the one that you like better and then, start to look up for the album it came from.

Dorothy Bonaparte EXO has great dancing but SHINee beats them by a lot. ALL of SHINee can dance really well, and not saying all of EXO can't, but SHINee's choreo is more... complex? They are also quite fun, and I can see they put a lot of time into it. To me, SHINee has the best dancing in SM.
+Andrea Hyung i think they're both PHENOMENAL, but just keep in mind that it's more difficult to get 9 (previously TWELVE) people to dance perfectly in sync compared to only 5 people. also, some of exo's choreographies are very complex and intricate as well (growl and love me right especially), but exo and shinee have completely different dancing styles too so it's a bit useless to compare them anyway. the best dancing in sm is sm the performance tho, without a doubt in my mind. eunhyuk and donghae from sj, yunho from dbsk, kai and lay from exo and minho and taemin from shinee.

But, I'm not really talking about sync, because yeah, that's important, but I am talking about the choreography itself. EXO has hard songs to dance to, like MAMA (I mean, even Jongin complained about that one) and EXO has good vocals as well. I think each SM group is good at a lot of stuff, but each group has their own.... asset that makes them shine through and different from the other groups. SHINee's would be dancing, I would say. It's all personal preference, of course, but I do think EXO has talent in dancing, but it seems some dances aren't as hard as others (cpugh wolf wough) and the same applies to SHINee, of course. No group is perfect. I also understand that I have begun to ramble. That's what a person gets for getting a keyboard and a unknown character limit. How long does this thing go?
