Absolutely Bill I agree. Unfortunately though some take their test on a quiet morning and don't get tested in the same way as when it is say the school run or rush hour. My wife's friend passed her test (automatic) first time but she even said it was fairly quiet on the roads that morning. Now she is saying she is nervous to drive and needs her husband with her every time she goes out.
My wife took her test 5 times (manual) and has been confident in driving ever since she passed, going out on her own and even driving to the seaside in the first few months since passing.
You are right though.
Thank you for your feedback, A pass only means that on that particular moment in time nothing came up to challenge them and they had a good run through with no challenges, I like to think that when I'm teaching someone to drive I make the effort to teach proper clutch control and steering control so that in the event of something coming up they can deal with the situation in a safe and controlled manner.
Thank you for your feedback, I've always said that passing a driving test means nothing, it just means you may have been lucky and had a good run through and nothing came up to challenge you.
