  • I uploaded this video just because I love how adorable Colleen looks in these scenes and I wanted to share them.
In this sequence, she finds out that her new boss is the guy she met the night before, but unfortunately, she gets fired by his father who disapproves their relationship...
Fun fact: the guy in the video is Neil Hamilton, who played as Commissioner Gordon in the popular series 'Batman' in the 60's.

I'm girl crushing on Colleen, she's insanely adorable and so natural in her demeanor! Like nothing I've seen from old Hollywood. I think it's the first time I like an actress this much, and it has to be one from 100 years ago 😂

I love her facial expressions, they make me smile. Especially when she looks very animated at times. I hope that's the right word.

I just saw this movie last night on TCM. What a great silent movie! A great depiction of a time and era. Great acting! Funny and uplifting. Great pacing and musical score! It's easy to see why Colleen Moore was one of the top actors of her generation.

Same here! They were having a Vitaphone marathon that day or something and this was the only movie they showed that day, the rest were shorts. I really liked the movie!

Absolutely adorable and breathtakingly cute. Just based on this short clip, this film seems similar to the Clara Bow movie, "IT", from a few years earlier. I'd love to see the entire movie.

Colleen is so adorable! I'm reading her autobiography now-it's out of print but found a copy on Amazon--and she had quite a life. So nice to read about a "normal" person. I've only seen stills of her before, so its great to see her "live",

Thank you for your message! It's nice to read comments about Colleen. I've read her books too, her autobiography and the one from Jeff Codori. There are some of her movies on UA-cam, Ella Cinders is the most common one (and it's very funny). Also on a website called ok.ru 😊

She was far "cuter" than the other flappers who were born at the beginning of the 20th century. People born in the 19th century like Colleen were at a HUGE ADVANTAGE where they were the last people to have eaten food before it was adulterated (1900). Therefore they benefitted in terms of having smooth skin, a snub nose and healthy bodies!!!

19th century food was full of all sorts. Potato flour, plaster of Paris and alum in the bread. Borax and chalk in the milk. Some truly horrific dyes including arsenic and lead. The idea it was "purer" in some way is simply untrue outside of very rural areas.
