Not sure why people would care if you gift them something from the dollar store, it’s the gesture and the thoughtfulness behind it that makes it special.

Hey great video can't wait to try some, my dollar tree has sheets of cork I know you mentioned wanting cork for the coasters, I bought some & put it in a picture frame to make a small cork board for notes & it works great. 😀 Good luck hope yours will have some it was in the crafters corner.
Megan, The Dollar tree in my area didn't have the shadow boxes, I couldn't find them anywhere then they said a shipment was coming in when's the next day nothing was on the shelf, then finally there they were they had two different sizes now what?? Are yours 4x4 or 5x5....... I have never done anything like this and this looks right up my alley but I need some more instruction..... Just love watching you you amaze me...

The wedding is November 4th of this year, my fiancé is about to be finished up with school in the next month 😁 so unfortunately I had a hard time finding the shadow boxes she used in the video, but I did find another option for a lantern as my centerpieces. There is a video by Jay Munee Diy that helped me create absolutely beautiful lanterns. They are very time consuming, but gorgeous! I am pairing the lanterns up with floral and greenery along with hand painted scriptures for each table. Hopefully this message is able to get to you considering such a late update! ✨
I know, right? Some diy'ers have the music up so loud that I have to mute the sound because music+talking= total disconnect on my part. Drives me crazy.
It’s funny because I kept hearing this quiet plinking sound and it was distracting me as I tried to figure out where it was coming from. Turns out there IS background music - just so low as to be practically subliminal!
Thank you my friends. I use to have the music too loud, but I didn't realize it was too loud because I would only listen to the play back on one device. I didn't realize there was such a huge sound difference on the TV or with headphones. Newer UA-cam channels I’ve seen haven’t figured out the concept that a diy must be cheaper than what I can buy the same thing for in a store. You make them way cheaper and get to add personal touch’s like the old wooden cross hymn.

My sister-in-law reupholsters her furniture using hot glue - she does an absolutely beautiful job, piping, edging, everything...and you would have absolutely no idea it was created using designer fabrics...and hot glue. The reupholstering has held up for decades...surviving two rambunctious boys!.

I put a couple layers of the cork in a fancy picture frame and covered the cork with an old silk blouse I was tossing out. I bought pretty pushpins and hung all my necklaces and bracelets.
Yes, This Right. Here. Brightened my day, week and quickened my spirit to be true to myself. True to my creative side and never stop being thankful that the Lord has and WILL make a way. A little Gem was placed here for me today when I saw this video. Reminds me there are so many creative and loving LIKE minds that are out there struggling too. We are not alone, nor will we be discouraged by the darkness of the outlook of society in general. Sparked a creative side in me I’d almost forgotten about.

After waiting for over a month for my Dollar Tree to get the bath mats in, I finally was able to get a few. Damn...you weren't kidding about the smell! It transferred to my hands and I had to wash them several times to get the stink out!

(p.s. long-time pro gardener here...your fox-tail fern is fine. cut back the yellow dead foliage in the winter because the large plant will come back in the spring, and it's much more attractive without all the scruff. and, if you like, put the berries in well-drained ordinary garden soil. they very well might sprout.)

You really are so good at this! I finally got my ishh together and made my pillows!! I absolutely love them. I will say I'm a feathered pillow kinda gal but hate paying for them!! Luckily my sister got new furniture and gave me a bunch of feathered throw pillows, from her old set. So I used them in my bathmat pillows. Girl they are seriously luxe! I also get really lucky and find them at goodwill or thrift stores, for under 5 bucks.

You had mentioned getting cork board for your coasters. Dollar tree now sells sheets (9×11) of thin cork board with adhesive. Works great for coasters.

Hey I'm sure you already know this by now but I've been seeing the cork sheets at most $🌳's now. I think they may even be peel and stick, so if so would work great for the coasters!!
I really enjoyed this video! I think your fern in the hanging planter may have done better with what looks like a bit of shade/protection. It also would drain better when not sitting on something. I've had similar experiences and while I generally have a green thumb I continue to learn by doing.
The table has holes in it or water can drain out? I also put pool noodles in the bottom of both to help with drainage, but net year if I try the same type of fern I will buy it on something it can drain easier. So much love to you Teri ❤-Megan
I have seen others use them but I have never seen them! My DT is extremely small and even though it does stock up on some cool items they don't have a crafter square section. But I will an eye out for them ❤ Much love & Merry Christmas
Great video, superrrrr helpful since the find myself in DT like ever other day! I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but Dollar Tree actually does sell cork! They sell it in the craft section like an adhesive sheet, about 6x9. I used it on a canvas to make a DIY cork board since it’s so thin (and my push pins wouldn’t go all the way through). I’m thinking about maxing my buck by cutting small circles and putting 4 on each coaster, like little feet. Thoughts?

Yesterday while at a Dollar Tree in Tucson, Az, I found self adhesive cork backing. Without this video, I would still be trying to figure out something to do.

I have found Gorilla glue hot glue sticks work best for this ..

Dollar tree now has a cork panel you could use for the backing on the coasters! Just hot glue it to the bottom! Love these ideas!

After waiting for over a month for my Dollar Tree to get the bath mats in, I finally was able to get a few. Damn...you weren't kidding about the smell! It transferred to my hands and I had to wash them several times to get the stink out!
These are all so good!😍 Everything looks high end, not tacky or cheesy at all like some dollar tree diy’s can be. Simple, cheap & cute! Love all of these!💜

(p.s. long-time pro gardener here...your fox-tail fern is fine. cut back the yellow dead foliage in the winter because the large plant will come back in the spring, and it's much more attractive without all the scruff. and, if you like, put the berries in well-drained ordinary garden soil. they very well might sprout.)

You really are so good at this! I finally got my ishh together and made my pillows!! I absolutely love them. I will say I'm a feathered pillow kinda gal but hate paying for them!! Luckily my sister got new furniture and gave me a bunch of feathered throw pillows, from her old set. So I used them in my bathmat pillows. Girl they are seriously luxe! I also get really lucky and find them at goodwill or thrift stores, for under 5 bucks.

You had mentioned getting cork board for your coasters. Dollar tree now sells sheets (9×11) of thin cork board with adhesive. Works great for coasters.

Hey I'm sure you already know this by now but I've been seeing the cork sheets at most $🌳's now. I think they may even be peel and stick, so if so would work great for the coasters!!
I really enjoyed this video! I think your fern in the hanging planter may have done better with what looks like a bit of shade/protection. It also would drain better when not sitting on something. I've had similar experiences and while I generally have a green thumb I continue to learn by doing.
The table has holes in it or water can drain out? I also put pool noodles in the bottom of both to help with drainage, but net year if I try the same type of fern I will buy it on something it can drain easier. So much love to you Teri ❤-Megan
DT does have adhesive backed cork sheets. I love them and pick them up all the time. Love your crafts.
I have seen others use them but I have never seen them! My DT is extremely small and even though it does stock up on some cool items they don't have a crafter square section. But I will an eye out for them ❤ Much love & Merry Christmas

Great video, superrrrr helpful since the find myself in DT like ever other day! I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but Dollar Tree actually does sell cork! They sell it in the craft section like an adhesive sheet, about 6x9. I used it on a canvas to make a DIY cork board since it’s so thin (and my push pins wouldn’t go all the way through). I’m thinking about maxing my buck by cutting small circles and putting 4 on each coaster, like little feet. Thoughts?

I was really proud how that one turned out. Hopefully you can figure out a way to male the back look better, but you can't tell from the front at all. It looks great and is very light weight to hang
@Glue Guns and Roses Thank you for posting this video. I saw it and decided to make the coasters as presents for Christmas this year. Your suggestion of putting cork backing was a great one. Yesterday while at a Dollar Tree in Tucson, Az, I found self adhesive cork backing. Without this video, I would still be trying to figure out something to do.
