The weapon is a riff on the M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) so I appreciate the effort they made. I don’t see him as a troop builder. He stands alone.
The backpack belongs to Tiger Force Roadblock. The peg holds his tripod. The belt is sort of real, it’s used on the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) system.
Yeah - someone else mentioned the backpack re-use in a comment to solve the mystery of the peg. I'm lucky to have great viewers like you guys who swing in and answer the random questions I ask in the vids. And about the belt too! Font of knowledge - I appreciate it man :)
Hey there, Chris. Great review as usual buddy. Just wanted to let you know the backpack is reuse from Tiger Force Roadblock, & the peg is for his tripod. Have a good one.
Right... there we go then... the mystery of the peg explained! Thanks man! I didn't pick up the TF Two-Pack so had no idea. Super helpful - thanks bud :)
I think he looks GREAT! I get that he’s bulky and a pain to pose… but body armor will do that! I look forward to getting him. I could see a ViPER shelf display one day!! Nice work! Cheers!
Glad you like the look of him! We've definitely got a solid selection of Vipers to build a fun "who's who" display out of - II might even give that a little go next time I switch out the shelves. :)
Big, beefy bruisers. The Classified design looks good if a little unconventional with the gun and attachments. I'm looking forward to displaying them in various gear setups. I only ordered two (with all Cobra trooper types), but I'm hoping that head sculpt works well with other Vipers/Siegies/etc. Thanks for the show.
I should think it will. If I get a chance to pop into the shoebox later I'll pop it and take a pic or two on a few other Vipers for you Liquid, if you like?
Just a repaint of the Tripwire figure with the arm bracers from a cobra viper only the head and legs appear to be new .Thanks for the review guess i wont be rushing out to get get this one .
That's what the reviews are all about - helping you make a purchase decision. Although - to be clear - neither of the figs you mentioned are re-used on him that I can tell? I'm pretty sure the legs and the armour pieces are unique to him (for the moment). Not that that matters particularly: if your not feeling him then you ain't feeling him.
Looks about as I expected. I’ll get one. I didn’t witness first hand his infamous deed. I’m sure it would have affected me. Otherwise it’s a 90s extreme purple mercenary trooper guy. It does look like the bulk of the armor gives an illusion of a tank of a person. Interesting enough. Isn’t the back pack the one from Tiger Force Roadblock? The peg was there to hold the tripod. In this case it’s just the result of convenient reuse. Glad it’s useful. I may make my own hole in the drum to use with the peg. Love the Santa dad joke! Merry Christmas y’all!
Thanks Prophet. Turns out it is re-use from the TF Roadblock. I didn't pick one up so didn't clock it on this guy! I hope you've had a good 'un over the Festive season bud - thanks for all your support this year :)
Great review as always. The lack of a boot cut is disappointing… I thought the design team would have learned with the Snake Eyes Origin figures that this type of omission in articulation is a step backwards in a figure’s design.
It has made it a little tricky sometimes to get him quite how I want him, especially when going for the more 80s Action movie poses with that big gun! Once you've set a bar you've got to at least meet it every time...

100% a stand alone. That's how I'm head cannoning the figure in my collection at least. Not that I army build anyway, but you get what I mean! LOL

@ absolutely love your broadcasts. A lot of fun to watch and I absolutely get a kick out of your intros. I appreciate your work.
Thanks Billy - that's really kind of you say! :)
I love your file card discussions! So hillarious.🤣
I'm here to inform AND entertain ;)

You got to be tough if you're wearing pink!
Random tangent - one of my favourite shirts is pink. I've got a few purple bangers as well. Proper retro looking patterned ones.
But I ain't tough LOL
@MoDXtraGC 🤣😃nice.
Good looking figure , can't wait to add him to my collection... Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones Chris and Happy New Year bud
Have a good one Wil - thanks so much for all your support this year :)

As you said there are a few little issues, but taken as a whole, I think Hasbro did a good job. He will be mine!
Yep - ultimately it's about having fun and I've been having fun! Decent fig with lots of man-child play possibilities! :)
Saw Viper and his arcade games 😆 Wasn’t aware of that one. Wasn’t a huge fan of his original release but this Classified looks very cool 😎
It's an addiction. Cobra should hold an intervention, he gets far too little sleep just to "have one more go" ;) LOL
Merry Christmas to you too!
Thanks dude :) :)

I'm excited for the saw viper! just looking at it makes me want to try to dig up that issue where he taking out Joe's left and right.
It's issue 110 my friend :)
