    This was my 2nd portable dac/amp. Amazing for the money. To go further using the 2.5mm balanced jack output is very good. Specialy with headphones like hifiman or seinnheiser. You can find the cables on amazon or make them yourself to save a few bucks ;)

    Couldn't find a lot of FiiO Mark II demos with portable big speakers like Soundboks, would it work great or it is better to consider a bigger AMP ?

    • @nadiraudio
      @nadiraudio  3 роки тому

      I'd go with a bigger amp. Will be reviewing the Emotiva BasX A-100 integrated amp soon which could be a good option.

    Nice review. What balanced mean? What's the difference whit a normal output? Im gonna use it mainly whit the thieaudio legacy 3, is something that should matter to me?

    • @nadiraudio
      @nadiraudio  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks! The balanced output on the FiiO is only necessary if you plan to use headphones or IEMs with a balanced input. I believe the ThieAudio Legacy 3 has a 3.5mm unbalanced cable plug, so the balanced output on the FiiO is not necessary, but still nice to have in case you switch to a set of balanced headphones at some point.

      Headphone out specifications (3.5mm headphone out jack):
      ≥112 mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%)
      ≥75mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%)
      ≥11 mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%)
      Balanced headphone out specifications (2.5mm TRRS headphone out jack):
      ≥240 mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%)
      ≥220 mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%)
      ≥45 mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%)
      In balanced mode the device use 2 amps (1 amp for each channel) and you will have double power on your headphones, and the separation between channels will be the best.You will need also 2.5mm balanced headphones.

    Hello! with this FiiO I need an audio interface? or something more??
    I want to connect this FiiO to my Windows laptop and my Beyerdynamics dt990 pro (250ohms) and have a normal high volume. I don't need to record anything or something more, I produce beats and for the moment only with these headphones am good.
    Thanks!

      Thanks for watching! The FiiO is all you need to listen to your headphones on your laptop. You only need an audio interface if you want to record sounds from an instrument or microphone.

    this thing has too much noise at balanced output for IEMs, but it's ok for headphones I suppose.

    Mine arrived today, paired with my Sennheiser IE80s and realise this ampdac won't go up to 32bit384khz.....it will only go half of that up to 32bit 192khz......feeling a bit gutted..

      Yes, it comes with a USB cable that you can use to connect it to a PC. No drivers required for Windows 10. I don't use it for gaming, so I'm not sure about that.

    Hi! The Fiio Q1 mark ii has got audio latency/ audio delay with iPhone?

    • @nadiraudio
      @nadiraudio  4 роки тому

      Hi! I haven’t noticed any latency, but I’ve only used it with my iPhone a handful of times. I mostly use it with my laptop.

    Good review. I’m considering this FiiO with a 250 ohm headset. Would this work with the FiiO? Thanks

    • @nadiraudio
      @nadiraudio  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! I suspect the FiiO would work fine with the 250 ohm set on high gain, but I can't say for sure. I don't have any high impedance headphones at the moment.

      Andrew Acosta so I’m using the Q1 MKII with 250 ohm Beyerdynamic 770s. And it sounds fine. Clear and precise. I’m not blown away however. They do get loud on the high gain setting - just feel perhaps there could be more with a more powerful amp.

      liquidgroove thank you so much for the prompt response. That information definitely made it clear that I might want something that can offer more power . I love cranking my headphones up !

    Hi. I just got the fiio q1mk2. Pair this with iphone and only have a jbl live 400 bt. Might be getting a moondrop soon. I read somewhere that the 3.5mm is only and amp and 2.5mm is the dac. So to get a better audio quality, i should be using the 2.5mm instead??? If so, would an adapter work?

    • @nadiraudio
      @nadiraudio  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks for watching! The 2.5mm output is for balanced headphones (with a balanced input). For headphones like the JBL 400 BT, you would use the 3.5mm unbalanced output. Balanced has better audio quality, but you need a set of balanced headphones which are typically more expensive.
