Impressionante é a adaptação do ritmo da melodia (Summertime) para facilitar o sapateado e encaixá-lo perfeitamente no espetáculo. Coisa de gênio!

Interesting (and highly skilled) rhythm section! Had to listen a few times without looking to really hear the music. A masterful rendition.

When I pull into work some mornings and I'm feeling a little low, I boot up Joel Alexander - AT WHATEVER AGE!! And seriously, I am transported to the wonderful place of inspiration and awe. Isn't he a lovely creature. I would love to see him live. You go, Joey.

Bravo Joey.....it's always joyful and exciting to see him playing, all the time... This guy is so an authentic and genuine. I'm so proud of him as Indonesian people. This young man is gergeous and he plays with his heart, as well as soul. So terrific and incredible, unspoken feelings everytime watch his performance. Welldone....bravo Joey, just keep doing whatever You do. it's so inspiring...

the tap dancer shone by the playing of one of the best in rhythm in jazz piano Joey Alexander..his confidence performing jazz music makes the environment exciting and warm. He can host a show if the opportunity" knocks." .remember Ben Sidran ..Ben had his jazz tv show in the 60..

The improvisation is splendid, but so aspect of the tap dancer’s performance could have been rethought. One of them is simply her colors, and her choice of hairstyle. The piece really should be a collaboration - a conversation - between a piano and a percussionist. Listen to any really good jazz drummer and you’ll know what I mean. They tend to play within a space, and create sounds inside of time. They don’t try to play at the same time as their pianist. This is really important. Bringing all of this home. In order for these kinds of performances to become much better, the tap dancer has to just take a step back and listen. And, within the space that allows her to express, she adds her voice. That way, she becomes part of a beautiful conversation.

Oh I think we must accept the New York influence. That Joey is "branching out" already is what it is! Just as we enjoyed the Harmonic Adventures of his early works we now can enjoy the creative mind. Let us realize that he can get a gig any place there is a piano. He will not starve. So to Joey, Great Joy to you and yours. Yes odd Tap and Jazz but very new york.

Better w/o tap. Drummer, maybe, but tap detracts, does not add to otherwise worthy rendition. Chord progressions and dynamic transitions very well done.

Of course I love Gershwin. And I love Mr. Alexander. I use to tap dance. But I did not enjoy the mix of the tap dancer.

Love tap, and love Summertime, and that led me here. Never heard of the pianist, or the tapper before. But think the main problem was the taps weren't better miked. From the tap aspect, couldn't hear much because of the piano playing. From the piano aspect, couldn't enjoy it because of the background muffled tapping. If the taps were clearer, you could hear more interplay between the two. And I could care less what hair style she chose, but the dress was getting in the way of her footwork, which might have added to understanding the interplay. Instead, it was a billowing dress making muffled taps someplace under there. Both performers though seem quite talented.

Hmmmm....ok, as a tap dancer she's surely good. But I prefer a good drummer on Joey's side because there's nothing a drummer couldn't do better.

Well, Yoko had an apple! As I remember the story anyway. There was an apple at an art gallery where John Lennon met Yoko Ono. The Apple was on decay and it was priced very high and the point of it was to watch it decay. Interesting concept. Indeed Joey is New York influenced. So do we doubt the Master's skills? Dare not my friends yet the young man's life must grow. The Muse will call in the sweetest of dreams! Blessings all Mr. Joey! To You and your family!
