How to number rows in a Word table

Suppose we have a table with source data on a Word worksheet and we want its rows to be automatically numbered. For example, we have a list of employees and we want to number it in the first column.
Moreover, when adding or deleting rows to the table, the list should be automatically updated. You will learn how to do this in our video tutorial.
