    I would like to see a full windscreen option and an extended cover over the cockpit for sun protection. Ditto at the front.

    I'm curious why you continue to split your review videos in two? I'd kinda' understand if you were monetizing the videos, but you're not. So why not release the performance and features video all at once?

      Thanks for writing. There are times we do this depending on the boat size, but usually we find that it’s better to split because of running time. There is so much detail we go into. Thanks

      I prefer it like this! It allows them to keep on providing details without having a very long video

    Nice! Now you gotta do the 400 slx-r with trip 450r's. Plus the 320 sundancer Outboard, and the brand new 370 sundancer outboard.

      Jake S yes we do! And soon you will see! 😊

    I’m confident C.N. Ray would be pleased with Brunswick Corp’s management, Quality & growth of his namesake.

    Helo! How many passengers does the speedboat hold? Day and night. Thanks!

    Can someone explain this trend of putting outboards on boats with 3 ft+ drafts? Too big, heavy, and expensive to beach, but nowhere to store and launch a tender when you realistically anchor in 6’ of water.

    • @andrewblanc480
      @andrewblanc480 3 роки тому +3

      Jake S, there is reasoning. First off, there is better fuel economy, maybe not with triplets but with double outboard power, it has better economy than with stern drives. Also, WAY easier to repair, do engine checks, and believe it or not it is even sometimes quieter than inboards.

    • @BoatTEST
      @BoatTEST  3 роки тому +4

      The trend is because the market is rejecting sterndrive and inboard engines and is using the boats as day boats only, pretty much. People seem to have less leisure time, and are not into long distance cruising. And certainly easier to fix on your own.

      I wonder what the engine up draft is? Less maintenance, drives come out of the water, no risers and manifolds to check and replace. More space in the boat. More power to weight. No giant hole in your transom.

      "who needs power in the first place?" meaning once you include all of these accessories and as pictured plainly and obviously here "you need outboard power to free up the interior space for that." No one wants their electronics in the salt with obviously the exact opposite of that being true. An outboard motor only needs to start and run to provide the reliability of both
      A: displacement (more water leaving the hull than entering as the bare minimum) but more importantly now
      B: a dry hold period as imagine the cost in replacing and rewiring all of these systems with only a weather event as responsible let alone the ahem "mere Ocean" ahem.
      Good question tho!

      These are all valid points, but if you have a 40 ft boat, you’re probably using it to island hop or cross florida to bahamas or any number of other boating activities that may involve exploring different islands/beaches. Well once you get to the beach, how do you get off the boat if there’s no dock to tie up at? The usability of these boats for that specific (but extremely common) boating lifestyle activity is very poor, and my original point still stands.

    CPT Steve tnx! I'm not a fan of the outboards but I like this one too. I'd throw a solar panel on top and keep a portable in storage to power that generator for the lithium batteries. ♿🇺🇸

      I wasn't a fan of them - they seemed a bit like a jumped-up dinghy rather than a real boaty boat - but the more I find out about them on this sort of size of boat the more I like them.

    Love all your vids but can you start putting in prices at what these boats cost

    • @BoatTEST
      @BoatTEST  3 роки тому +1

      At the moment we can’t because every dealer has their prices ans many of these boats are custom but please check out Boattest.com where we usually list the base price.

    • @michelleevans9869
      @michelleevans9869 3 роки тому

      Yeah I understand that but I was hoping you’d say at least the base price and I know there’s features and upgrades or anything just like cars would be nice just have the base price getting into one of these boats. Still love the detailed vids
