@15:50 you can upgrade opt-001 from the TCOX to a OCOX HP 10811-60111 Check out the HP Journal Feb 1986 Also I believe the 535X counters are very similar so you can probably refer to 5350A/B service manual as a backup. I also tested a couple of 5350B's above range and the could accurately read up to 26.5 GHz but with lower sensitivity.
Thanks. After I did the video I looked into the various crystal oscillators and saw you can get them on eBay for reasonable prices. I probably won't because I'll use it with a GPSDO.
I looked up who made those Utiflex cables and came up with Carlisle Companies. I knew they made all kinds of products but didn't know they made RF cables.
Thanks. From looking at the manuals they seemed to be the same, which couldn't have been right, so thanks for letting me know. It also explains why they're dearer on EBay.
I have the HP 5350B version of this and the 5343A as well, all great counters.
Kerry Wong did a great backlight mod to his.
I quite like the unit

They seem to hold up pretty well.
The 'B' version has better sensitivity.
