- Snow has been following on Silver Star and taking advantage of the conditions have left Little Bird in it's box. She has also been naughty so all the more reason she stays in her box.
That’s crazy! Even with the beacon… thanks for sharing! This was helpful
That runaway behaviour could be interesting in the Alpes, where the drone (and skier) could end up in another country, or at least another valley. If the timing is bad that could force you to decide between saying goodbye to the drone, or a 5 hours taxi drive back around the mountains to the correct valley.
First they need to fix better tracking with beacon.
Second it would be nice for the skiing mode to have an optional choice of ”less turning” where the drone tries to find an intermediate route and fly less in a sea sick motion.
Thanks for the comment. Interesting thought.....if I had my wits about me I should have pressed the stop button on the Beacon to see if that works. The Beacon is very small and compact and the buttons are so small I'm reticent to use them as a controller. I really need to play with the Beacon controls more to get some confidence in the device.
I'd love to ski the Alps but our skiing and conditions are so great it's hard to leave.
Hi, your videos have been very helpful to my travel planning. I am going to Silver Star in March with my family. I am just wondering if you have ever gotten into trouble for flying a drone there? I know some resorts do not allow drones. From your video, it looks like they are not too strict on that.
Thanks for your comment...you'll enjoy Silver Star it has something for everyone....I haven't filmed anything lately because the snow conditions have been so great and the mountain gets busy after Christmas...once things go a bit quieter I'll try to be as discrete as possible to see if Little Bird and the Beacon performance has improved with the latest upgrades...they look very promising
@mountainhigh4084 Thanks for getting back so quick! So, I get it that if the runs are not too crowded, it is OK to fly a small drone such as the Hover X1.
