    Thank you for saying "The way Scarlett is set up, your microphone always goes in Channel 1 and your guitar goes in Channel 2." Solved the issue I was having. Every other tutorial I watched just proceeded without specifying that.

  • @ericpeacock100
    @ericpeacock100 2 роки тому

    Thanks mate, great video. I’ve set up my focusrite solo no worries. Two questions - 1) When I’m on a track, I click on the record button at the top and it records no worries. Why is it necessary to “configure track head” and put that record arm button on the track? 2) I’ve setup the track fine with the option input 1 or 2 or both. If I’ve set up the wrong one can I change that option after or do I delete the track and start again. For example, I set up for input 1 by mistake and want to change it to input 2. There’s nothing recorded so it doesn’t matter about deleting it and starting again, just wonder if there is that option. Cheers

    • @ericpeacock100
      @ericpeacock100 2 роки тому

      Thanks anyway I’ve answered my own questions. The “arming” would be needed for recording multiple things at once (of course 🤦‍♂️) - I’ve only been doing single stuff until now. I found the input 1/2 selection.

    hey how do you get the gain to light up after turning on your power condenser. i tried doing so but my gain dials doesn’t light up whenever i try to speak, i’ve turned it all the way to the right and still nothing

    • @RyanMartinWeddings
      @RyanMartinWeddings  4 роки тому

      Sounds like there is no signal coming through. The interface picks up signal and gives you the lights green/red etc. but if there is no light I would be changing over the cable you are using.

    Can you record guitar lines with the mic ?

    • @RyanMartinWeddings
      @RyanMartinWeddings  4 роки тому

      Yep. Acoustic would be no worries but Electric you would need to sit the mic in front of an amp.

      Hi Ethan, there is a noise gate option in Garageband that you could play with to try to eliminate buzzing

    For some reason, whenever I try to use it in garage band, it just tells me that the selected input isn’t available and automatically uses the build in microphone and speaker with letting me change it. Do you know what the problem is?

    • @RyanMartinWeddings
      @RyanMartinWeddings  5 років тому

      Vinny Contini sounds like the computer isn’t picking up the input device. I’d try googling the device you are using and searching for the device driver - usually on the manufacturers website. Download and install the driver would be my first recommendation..
