Everyone wants to be syrup buddies after the boil:) we have 2 feet of crusty snow in the woods right now. Rough tapping conditions this year. I was a little older than your daughter when I first started carrying buckets, 3 galloners thankfully. Great memories!
Ain’t that the truth! Everyone wants the reward without helping do all the work! We’re lucky here with the weather conditions because usually it’s a muddy swamp out there. This year it’s bone dry. It’s the memories like those from childhood that seem to stick in our minds more than the ones of sitting in the house!
It’s a fun little activity to do if you have the time. Boiling it down takes some time but it’s worth it I. The end. Nothing better than some real maple syrup!

That's awesome also something in my to do list for next year. Once I get our little property cleared out I can focus on other things
