Cost vs performance, I would go regular GT as well. No to much more than the four banger but so much cheaper than the special trims. Best value performance per dollar. I too agree to go for the 2019. Won't lose a thing but more cash on the hood to get it off the lot.

Slight correction. The Ecoboost High Performance pack is actually running the same engine and turbo that is found in the Focus RS.
Engine tuning allows the engine to reach peak torque curve along the rev range. Which combine with the 10 speed and final drive allows the Mustang Ecoboost to have a quicker 0-60.

For 60K you get a pretty much bare bones exotic looking car that's not a performer. If anyone wants the so called 3 second C8...well then you're going to have to shell out well over 80K for the Z51/Z06 or whatever goofy ass 3 digit code Chevy wants to use this time!!! The Safe and Smart package does NOT include blind spot monitoring (Ford calls it BLIS). BLIS only comes with 201A Equipment Group for $2,200. However, you do get neat little blind spot mirrors in the 2 side view mirrors. BLIS is not an option you can add by itself.
Me, I prefer to trust the mirrors and taking a quick glance, and just because there is nothing in the lane next to me, on freeways with 3+ lanes you need to be sure a car is not also moving into the spot you want to move into......the blind spot system is not much use in that situation.

New GT350 actually shares more than just the upgraded steering knuckle with the GT500. Ford stated that they also share the same engine block with stronger head studs and stronger I beam connecting rods. Ford also retuned the Magneride suspension on GT350, as well as added a new spoiler/wing (or "Swing" as they call it) that increases downforce on the rear. They decreased drag on front end by decreasing the size of the slit in the upper grill too.

There's many things that would shorten the lifespan of the turbo. Heat, oil, weather conditions, climate, dirt, dust, high revving. But remember if you buy a brand new mustang you don't have to worry about the turbo because its under a 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty.

I just bought the Bullitt but I almost bought the GT350! I like some features not available in the 350 and I didn’t want to track it. So as a daily I thought why get the350? The Bullitt made more sense to me. Standard seats in Bullitt were better as they were ventilated and power. Same seats cost about $1600 in 350. Also auto rev matching and digital dash not available in 350. Of course Bullitt costs about $15k less with even more options. So I thought better buy and better as a daily. What’s your opinion?

Only negative for some is the loud exhaust. But it’s adjustable and quiet mode helps that problem! Test drive it! Great exhaust sound on startup.

I can go to a Dodge dealer and order a demon and get it for advertised price. I can also do this at a Chevrolet dealership with a Corvette or a ZR1 Camaro All great performance cars. But you cannot go to a Ford dealership and pick up a Shelby whether it be the GT350 or the new GT 500 Without paying a ridiculous $30,000 Mark up. I thought car companies built cars to sell them not rip you Off. So my next performance car will be and Dodge or a Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Camaro. But it most certainly will not be I a shelby mustang. Henry Ford is rolling in his grave And Ford motor company will never sell me a Shelby Not at those prices. Poured should disenfranchise and in dealership with these practice's. Unbelievable!

Evan Bozajian The 7 speed DCT transmission would be great for the GT350 and the Bullitt Mustangs most people can’t operate a manual transmission so why only make two of the most famous trims of the Mustang a manual transmission vehicle only offer both transmissions the 6 speed manual and the 7 speed DCT transmission to increase sales of those particular trim levels of the Mustang.

I agree. The 7 speed dct would be great on all trims. But like I said...it would be a waste of fords money the spent co developing the 10 speed auto that came out not too long ago. Selling cars with a new dct transmission wont make up for money lost from not using the 10 speed transmission.

    • @rustybeatty6567
      @rustybeatty6567 5 років тому

Evan Bozajian one of the only reasons for the 10 speed automatic was to meet emissions and fuel standards nothing more some performance benefits was gained because of transmission but it wasn’t the main reason for it’s development though because of gas guzzler tax. The Bullitt Mustang would be a great trim for the mustang as a regular production trim with the 7 speed DCT as a option for it just Like the ecoboost and GT are the Bullitt is the more track ready version of the GT but can also feel right at home on streets as well and as for the GT350 the base model is more street oriented but can handle the track to the GT350R is more track than street but can do both but versions of the GT350’s could and should be a regular production version of the mustang not just a limited edition one and with the use of the 7 speed DCT transmission it could do just that because drivers that can’t handle or operate a manual could buy them.

Ur not getting my point dude...
And I'm quite aware of the advantages of a dual clutch transmission as I owned a car that had one. A 2008 VW r32 . Had the DSG. Grear car.
Anyways...again...I'm aware of the advantages of having a DCT in all mustang trims instead of just the top tier mustang and ford GT. But once again...the main reason why Ford hasnt switched that DCT into their whole line up is because they would be throwing away money by not using the 10R80 they spent billions developing. And since the 10R80 shifts just as quick as a DCT, is very stout, and increases fuel economy over the older 6R80...there is not reason for them to make a switch to the whole lineup to DCT. Especially when the performance gain would be minimal as the 10R80 is very efficient for a torque converter automatic transmission. As the 10R80 ages...they may switch to the DCT in the future...time will tell.

  •  4 роки тому

I don’t get it... Why don’t they make a Mustang that looks exactly like the -64 Mustang but with modern technology? It would outsell everything. Why do car companies design cars that all look pretty much the same, following the same new design trends as everyone else?
It’s not like people buy these cars for the mpg or parallell parking capabilities anyway.
The Dodge Challenger is a little bit in that direction and... It got super popular! Why not go all the way?
