  • My love of Starbucks Cinnamon Coffee Cake inspired this recipe. I will NOT claim that it tastes similar to Starbucks because I do not have scientists and engineers working for me, nor do I use 100 ingredients. My cinnamon Coffee Cake can stand on its own and is amazing!!! It freezes and reheats really well too!!!
    Streusel topping
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup flour
    I teaspoon cinnamon
    Pinch salt
    1/2 cup softened butter
    Cinnamon layer
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon Flour
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    cake batter
    3 cups Flour
    2 1/4 cups sugar
    3/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/ teaspoon salt
    1 cup butter, softened
    1 cup sour cream
    1/4 cup whole milk
    4 eggs
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    Streusel Topping: mix until crumbly. Set aside.
    Cinnamon Layer: Combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Set aside.
    Cake Batter: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
    In a large bowl, beat until smooth.
    Assemble and Bake
    1. Spread half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
    2. Sprinkle the cinnamon layer evenly over the batter.
    3. Spread the remaining cake batter on top.
    4. Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the entire cake.
    5. Bake for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    6. Allow the cake to cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
    The cake freezes and reheats well, so you can enjoy it anytime!
