Your teaching is such a salve to my crushed heart right now.... I'm so thankful to God for this, and your gift to share.. even the way you spoke . You are a precious gem. Thank you Jesus our savior forever 💓
Kim, this study and your assistance to help slow down and break down the word is like food to the soul. Thank you for listening and obeying God to do this study with us!!
Reading through the book of James always leaves me feeling like I've done 10 rounds in the boxing ring! I'm convicted, wrung out....but also inspired. I have so many thoughts running through my heart after watching this video. I see myself, I see others that I love, in various stages of our walks with God. And ooh, don't get me started on those verses about temptation, especially how we can't truly even blame the devil for it. Wow - never thought about it that way before, but it is (sadly and convictingly) true. I've walked it, and felt that absence of sweet fellowship with my God, but also that unsurpassed joy from coming back to cling. There's nothing like it! Man, I could go on and on about so many things....how awesome is God that He helped James pack SO much into half a chapter?! Again, another bang and we're only in week two. Exhausted already (and we haven't even gotten to that pesky tongue :) ) but inspired even more to keep clinging!
Danielle, I love your words "convicted and wrung out".....so true! You can't escape James. He forces us to see ourselves and it's not pretty. And RIGHT, in half a chapter! He always causes me to examine my heart and moves me to an even greater awareness of my need to cling to God. So glad we're in this boxing ring together :) as the Lord leads us through this book. Thankful for you, sis!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this study!! Thanks for breaking this down really well so it's understandable and applicable. I have been praying to the Lord MANY TIMES to examine me (despite the hard-to-swallow truths that may come up). I tend to become afraid of asking God to show me myself because not only do seeing my faults feel overwhelming but I also remember all the times I've failed. However, the beautiful thing is, when He shows us our faults, it's not like He leaves us to fix it on our own.........He offers His help (Isa. 43:1-3).
Dorothea, AMEN! I so love that about God, that He not only shows us our faults but gives grace to help us. And I'm so thankful to God that this study is a help to you. God is so faithful! So glad to be studying with you, sis!
Doesn’t matter how many times I read James...it’s always a FRESH conviction. Ouch....I’m happy He’s a healer because I’ve got bruises all over my lil feelings...lol...maturity hurts sometimes!!!
I so look forward to these on Sunday, and especially love how they never conflict with the sermons I hear at my home church. God’s Word is so amazing! Thank you for allowing Him to speak through you!
There is so much meat in these verses Ch1: 13-25. I will be meditating on this for the rest of this week. I thank God that He used James to tell it like it is. I remember being a new born again Christian and the Lord used my sister to give me His word about areas in my life He was not pleased with. You know he will try to tell you first but if you don't listen He will send someone else to you to speak His word to you. I'm not going to lie I got offended, angry, lashed out. Then I read Heb 12:5-6 " My son do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chasten, And scourges ever son whom He receives." If I can be chastened by our earthly parents then I can be chastened by my heavenly Father. Thank you God for using your daughter Kim to deliver your word. All honor, glory, and praise I lift up to you Lord. Anyone else had this same experience?
Josette, oh yes.....haha I am STILL learning how to be graceful and humbly accepting of those who speak the truth in love. I'm with you in the getting angry and offended category, although amen, God is good and is working on me! How awesome that God led you to that passage in Hebrews for wisdom. It spoke to me, too. Blessings!
Yes! God has been dealing with me a lot about humility. Pride is so sneaky. I didn’t realize I had some that needed to be dealt with! I love how God dealt with your heart and that your sister was bold enough to confront you. ❤️
Oh, the Lord's chastening.....it can truly hurt because it pierces, especially when we realize how much we have offended Him and strayed from Him. So thankful for the Lord's goodness in assuring us that He does so in love, because we're His children. I'm so thankful as well for His grace in forgiving us and drawing us into close fellowship. Thank you so much again, Jaimie, for your willingness to examine yourself and allow the work God has done in your heart to minister unto others.
This woman is majestic. I love her because she has changed the ethos of bible teaching. I have been looking for a teacher like her for a long time. Thanks bd to God I have found you Kim. I stick to you like glue, like you cling to God.
Amen, I am enjoying studying through your library messages. Thanks for sharing the word in a way that will help believers grow in their faith and walk with Jesus Christ
God bless you sister Kim, I'm behind in my series in the James Study, but always manage to come to the study. Love the way you explain detail to detail about lust, temptation, and the tongue, to know if you are being guided by the Holy Spirit or just saying I'm a Christian inside instead of outside. I was brought up in a Christian home which I have explained in previous comments "dysfunction Christian home" I believe and love my God, work hard to keep myself from falling short of grace, and I have mot by lust, or temptation but the tongue, I DO CLING TO GOD who sees and knows everything to cleanse me and help me, keep bringing us the word. God bless🙌🙏
As I am hearing this... All I can say is "GIRL!!! WOW say it!!" "OUCH!!" This really touched my heart. Good reminders & I need to change! I need to read this and listen to this study with my note book. I think I can feed on this for a few months!!! Thank you for doing this study!
Kim, before I heard your teaching I thought James was just a book of unconnected statements. Now I can see the progression of thought that James wrote. Thanks for explaining this so clearly. Love this study.
This part 2 was an extremely hard one for me to sit in. The conviction that I felt watching this was unreal. I read the verses but your gift from the Holy Spirit that allows you to break down the Word in a way that truly allows me to exam myself is a blessing! I watched yesterday but was to far in worship & repentance to comment. But I’m back today to watch again because I know there is still more for me to glean here.
Tikisha, trust me, sis, I know how it is when the word is convicting. What a praise that you were moved to worship and repentance.....that's such a move of God. You KNOW that He is working in you when you are moved in that way. And then to return for more? :) You are truly allowing the Lord to have His way. Praying His continued blessings upon you, sis, as He draws you near.
Kim, I recently found time for this study and I'm catching up. Today was the perfect day for me to hear this second video. I was given much "ammo" for a talk I am preparing for my church. The talk is on fighting depression with God's word and how the deceiver uses some people's "inclination" towards sadness to stumble us. I gleaned much wisdom from this class today......as He intended ❤
I've been following along with you, I love how you break the word of God down. God bless you. Love this study.....please pray for me to walk according to the Fathers true word.😘😘
Mrs Cash Tate, Thank you very much for this other study. The music at the background while you are talking disturb me. Please can something be done about that? Thank you. God bless you.
Hmmmm This one Kim spoke volumes to me. I had to sit back and take it in. "Listening and doing" that put a ✔ in my spirit. I'm going to sit on that one and meditate. Looking forward to next week. Thanks!!🌹
I had to sit and meditate on it too, Mia. There's so much here. Love that the Lord meets us where we are and does His work in a mighty way. Blessings to you, sis!
Thank you so so very mush!! for your teaching in James Love it please keep it up I look forward of it every time u post something on james. I LOVE MY SISTER IN CHRIST .
Aww Kenya, such a blessing to hear, praise God! Thank you for your warm words of encouragement. And I'm grateful to be your internet spiritual mom. :) xoxo
Hi TwaNeisha, we are working on another arrangement for the shirts. But for now, you can follow this link: www.zazzle.com/kimcashtate. Hope that helps!
Whoa Preacher man you and Kim phew hold up. It’s 5:30a.m. I was not ready to get punched in the face like that by v17. Are you kidding “every good & perfect gift? Ok listen I’ll be back later let me marinate on this yikes. Lord that was a word for us today. Lol tough love Amen
Yes, that's my takeaway...Lord, let me not be a hearer only, but a doer. Let me DO what You want and not what I feel entitled to do. I hear the Word all day and love it! (I wear my Bible on an MP3 at work on tiny earbuds which are not visible to my co-workers). But when that one co-worker that works that nerve is trying me, will I walk in love? Will I remember what is truly important? Which is not to communicate to her that I know the mess she is trying to pull, but to be a place of love despite the mess she is trying to pull. I have to force myself to do God's will so when He opens that door for me to share Christ, she will receive it from me. If I return attitude for attitude, then I'll never be able to witness to her. I have to keep emanating the love of God and remember that that is what is focal in my life. Period. I have to be able to move when God says move! So my mind has to always be in prep mode and not in flesh mode. So, that is my takeaway, Jesus please help me remember what is important to You, and let your agenda supplant my agenda. Help me Lord to be a doer and not merely a hearer. Thank you again Kim!!!
Jaimie.....so much in these words. But I have to highlight THIS...."not to communicate to her that I know the mess she is trying to pull, but to be a place of love despite the mess she is trying to pull." SIGH. I have to fight my flesh to not let people know I SEE YOU and what you're trying to pull. Walking in love in even those things is so important. Thank you for that, sis. And AMEN to letting HIS agendas supplant our agenda. Really good stuff, sis. Always so thankful to study with you!
Hey Kim, do you have a Cling store? Am looking for those Cling tees and a daily devotional, calendars just something for daily visual reminder to CLING.🙏👣😀
Damalie, we are working to put in place another place for tees. But for now, you can follow this link: www.zazzle.com/kimcashtate. Love that you desire a daily visual reminder to CLING. I'm with you!
My tongue is my worst attribute . . "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."
I'm guilty of that myself. My tongue has wrote me a lot of checks my behind couldn't cash. My mother told me to be careful what you say because one day you will have to answer for everything you chose to speak in addition to the things you've done. She was right.
Your teaching is such a salve to my crushed heart right now.... I'm so thankful to God for this, and your gift to share.. even the way you spoke . You are a precious gem. Thank you Jesus our savior forever 💓

Yup!! That's me.......I tend to react and lash out when approached. Sometimes, He allows me to fall so I can be humble.
That would be several "yes's"....🤗 amen to your testimony. Humbleness & even the ability to repent is a gift from God💕
Josette, oh yes.....haha I am STILL learning how to be graceful and humbly accepting of those who speak the truth in love.
