What happened after the TNA VS WWE "Monday Night War!"

  • I thought it would be interesting to go back and revisit the series that took my channel to the squad in the first place. TNA vs WWE War from 2010. I always wanted to go back and interview some wrestlers and make more of that series. But for now here is the Raw and TNA from the week after the war ended. I thought it might be interesting to see how both companies reacted if they did at all!
Raw had a main event handicap match Orton vs Edge & mystery partner.
TNA had a triple threat AJ Styles Vs Jeff Hardy Vs RVD

      Uh… they didn’t.
Hogan didn’t want to go directly against WWE.
Bischoff has said it’s the stupidest decision in the world. Blame Dixie. Hogan and Eric put in the youth movement and tried to do a genuine reset. But Russo and Dixie are far too stupid for words.
The worst thing Hogan did was cut the legs off of Storm, but in his defense, LITERALLY every single person who ever booked Storm (Cornette, Eric, Russo, Bruce, Hunter, Hogan, Jarrett, and D’Amore, Mantell) have all had the same complaint. He doesn’t work hard out of the ring, and if he’s gonna lose he gets lazy. You can’t book that guy as a Champion of your proMotion. You can certainly argue they shouldn’t have built him as hard as they did just to cut his legs off, and that’s fine.

Honestly, while TNA's Hogan era had it's big-ass flaws and we all know how flawed it was, The Guest Host era was a whole new level of "why?". Sure there were some pretty good ones, (Like Bob Barker), but the majority of it sucked Sonny Siaki's ass! That being said, while WWE at this time had it's flaws, it was the last time I enjoyed watching WWE before the idiocy that was The Authority showed up in 2013. Maybe an idea for a series is taking an episode of Raw and Impact of a random week of every year and try to compare them which gets better over time and which show gets worse or stays the same quality.

“Flavour Flave; you make Chris Benoit look like a “good” father.” That was from maybe The Roast of Charlie Sheen? Steve-O? Or himself: Flavour Flave. It MAY have been Jimmy Kimmel that said that? Maybe.

Was there even a "war"...all I remember was TNA trying to entice the WWE to acknowledge their company, but no one really gave a shit. It's like TNA wanted the war to boost their ratings but it backfired on them even more so

I would definitely like to see this series continue. As for who had the better episode I would say TNA if for nothing more than them actually trying to do something interesting with their segments instead of the same old safe cookie cutter entertainment with WWE.

  • @freddiejohnson6137

To this day I still laugh that WWE just managed to kill this on night one by simply finally getting Bret Hart back on screen. After that TNA pretty much had no hope. If Bischoff and Hogan hadn't tried to go too big too fast maybe it would have been better. If I'm correct going on the road more weekly is what actually caused them the most problems because they were running all the shows at a loss.

Id like to see this series continue. 2010's Guest GM Raw and Hogan TNA must be the worst of American Mainstream Wrestling in my lifetime. It was so awful, it made me look elsewhere and discover New Japan and older Japanese Wrestling. One good thing came out of it at least.
