The fact that you guys had multiple people filming made this video look really great! Awesome also sharing the narration. Looks like a great place to hike especially If you want to challenge yourself.
You hit the nail on the head there, plenty of trails to challenge yourself in the park. We joked in there that you go to Coe to train for the Sierras and we're actually doing that :) Going to be hitting up the more difficult hikes to train for our 3 night backpacking trip in the Yosemite backcountry this summer :)))) Thanks for the kind words, thats so awesome of you to say. We're so glad you liked it and appreciate you taking the time. Thanks!
Looked like a great day out! Really enjoy learning more about the area during the hike! Will have to definitely remember this when we do our road trip!
It really was, the weather was perfect! So glad you enjoyed it! There are so many great hikes in this park since it is so vast. Lots of ups-and-downs though, so a lot of the hikes can be pretty challenging, check that elevation gain! ;) Thanks for taking the time, we appreciate it!
I love the history lessons in your adventures, it adds something to the adventure knowing it's past. So much to explore! As always, great vid, thanks for sharing.
Thanks much Cliffdweller and thanks again to you and Catfish for the great opening! And you're absolutely right about how much is out there, especially in this particular park. Tons of awesome spots. Thanks for taking the time, we appreciate it!
Yeah, right?! That's crazy. The estate was around 12,000 acres at the time too. But now the park is over 80,000 acres with more and more ranchers donating their land over the years. Funny you mention the flora too, my daughter is doing a report on the Australian Sea Lions and how we can help them from getting caught in fishing nets and we she was going over the climate for South Australia (where a lot of the Sea Lions live as well :) ) is very similar to what we have here. So not too surprising we wold have similar flora. Thanks for stopping by Alex, always a pleasure!
Beautiful video. I loved the story of Henry Coe. It's amazing how much history there is in every place we visit and sometimes we are oblivious to it. Thanks for another ride!
Well said, I agree. Even the places I feel I know a decent amount about, there's always so much more to the stories :) Thanks for coming with! Oh - and we have an intro made for you, just need to get back home and get it on the computer!
Thanks Don, really nice of you to say! With the park being over 80,000 acres, there are so many different great hikes you can put together out there, it's hard to narrow them down at times. Hopefully we'll make it out to China Hole for an upcoming episode, a pretty grueling hike, but as we pointed out early, a great training spot :) Thanks again!
You guys are lucky to be in such a great area for hiking. I'm always curious to see where your next trail leads. btw- we were hit hard with a serious bout of flu around here, but coming out of it now and starting to get back on track. Will be in touch soon.
You're absolutely right about that. Sorry to here about the flu, thats never a good time. Get well and yes, we will be talking, sounds great! Thanks Don!
Hi, Jim and Jeremy !!! How are you doing? I loved the beautiful scenery and your video very much. Thanks for sharing that great info about the bay leaves. I have some bay leaves and I will rub them on my knees to relieve the arthritis pain later on tonight. See you next Thursday for your hiking videos my, friend.
Thank you Jenita! Appreciate the kind words as always. You'll have to let us know how it works out :) Thanks for coming along with us, glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome place and great hike guys. Can't believe they sold it for $10...I'd gladly give 'em $20 if they want to let it go. LOL! I know the dollars were worth a lot more back then. Does look like some pretty steep terrain around there, good work out. The lake was beautiful, nice setting. Thanks for another great video, my friends.
Thank you, sir! Yeah, exactly, I might even go up to $100 ;) Definitely plenty of challenging hikes you can put together out there for sure. A great local spot though and good training for those harder hikes coming up in the summer :) Thanks as always for taking the time, much appreciated!
Nice little loop! Nice to hear the tree facts, I’ll have to keep my eye out for some of those bay seeds for my slingshot! Sidenote, for a laugh, look up chipotle bay leaves... Thanks for another cool vid!
hahahahahaha, rotflmao! That's awesome (just googled chipotle bay leaves). Too much :)) Thanks for coming along with us, always awesome to see your name come up in the notifications :) And yeah, find those seeds and create some plumes :)
This is one beautiful and impressive hike! Frog lake is gorgeous, I love how the lightly treed hill goes straight down into the water. Thank you for sharing!
Great video. I have spent the past 30 years backpacking at Coe park, but i still learned quite a lot from your video. Thank you.
Wow, so that's so awesome to hear! Thank you! It's a huge place, thats for sure :)

The quotation on the Henry Coe Monument: "May these quiet hills bring peace to the souls of those who ate seeking."

Thanks for coming along! Yeah, the single track trails into and around Frog Lake are really nice. A great little mini-getaway for sure. Thanks again!
Looked like a great hike guys! We want those 60-70 feeling temperatures too, can you please share? :) Have a good one - Shane
