- Blackpool is famous for it's £1 Burger. Chris Higgitt's Famous £1 Burger has been an institution in Blackpool for years. Millions of people flock to Chris Higgitt's for their £1 Burger. Chris has kept the price of his burger to £1 since he opened. However with the cost of living crisis no one these days can escape inflation. The MacMaster went along to Blackpool himself for the Famous £1 Burger and ended up paying £1.50. Has Chris Higgitt increased the price of his famous £1 Burger? He’s right about card payments,banks charge small businesses for handling card transactions,most small businesses near me are only accepting cash,by Chris only accepting cash it allows him to keep his prices low which is then passed on to the public.

Visited Chris last summer, all the way from the US. He was particularly interested in seeing my US passport so should remember me! He is a big Elvis fan and spends a lot of time over here in the off season.

Edit: Weird to think it's only £1 for a soft bun, with a beef burger, onions and sauce, yet to add a slice of processed cheese the price increases by 50% to £1.50! 😂makes me wonder where the feck the beef comes from? (I have noticed less pigeons and seagulls in Blackpool over the years though!)

Had this 1 pound burger a few weeks ago while visiting blackpool, it was perfectly fine burger, the exact sort of burger you'd get from most burger vans expect they would of charged £3.

Don’t worry Lee this channel is more preferred and interesting than Rate My…any day besides the varied and informative content is better. I was on Regent Road in Great Yarmouth on Friday and yes their £1 burger is still exactly that £1.

Superb video lee still a pound that really is a bargain .At one time one of our clubs lava lounge done burgers and onions for £2 and steak for £5 ,it was a case of get a pint then go for another burger .All long gone now .

Gosh lee I’m not being funny but I think Chris really needs to change his t shirt, last time you was there he had it on and also when rate my take away was there, I personally we wouldn’t eat from there but We did go to the compass cafe and had breakfast served in a pan which was nice
Me and some of my family were in Blackpool a week ago on the 20th March and they got the £1 burger so still the same price. They said the burger was decent enough and couldn`t go wrong for the price.

Well, I think after paying about £9.50 for a burger ( last season ) at the London Stadium (where West Ham Utd play) I will drive up buy 20 burgers drive back and hand em round. They will be cold but so was the bloody West Ham Burger.

Absolutely gutted Lee we were there about 3 hours after you on that day, would have been great to have met you, tried both the tower and Yorkshire fisheries after seeing your videos both were really nice food but tower fisheries came out on top due to the welcome and atmosphere

What ya do is nip to the supermarket buy 10 slices of dairylee for £2 then go there and get 10 burgers for a tenner and bang your cheese on each one save yaself £3 how’s about that then!!!!!
That’s not right. Lee scored the burger - before he’d even eaten it all, after one or two bites! I thought the rule was: give the score after completing the meal?!

A pack of cheese slices £1 or under for 10 slices. He getting £5 from 1 pack cheese. McDonald's cheese burgers £1.39 . So if you think about it he is putting the extra on his cheese burgers to keep his burger a £1
