So my barber gave me a high top fade when I asked for a temp fade. I want to grow my sideburns back out but I don't want to cut my hair down to match the length of my sides
This is exactly what happened to me I big chopped my locs and I wanted a temp fade and alittle fade in the back and he took too much off now I’m torn on whether I want to just cut it all off so it can be even or deal with what I have

Bro can I use the leave in conditioner and the coconut oil before skl or do I use them the night before and then in the morning just comb my hair with water?
Hi So does my hair have to be the same length all round for it to be considered an Afro? Like my sides are currently lower than the top because I started growing my Afro from a fade, so, should I continue growing out and then do cornrows all over from there or I should grow it out and then when the sides get high just level everything to be an even Afro
When I had a fro I would get a line up every other month or something when I started brading my hair I stopped getting them now I've got dreads will be 2 years in April
Leave-in conditioner great but Cantu is NOT. It contains alcohol which is ultimately pretty bad for your hair and will prevent it from growing how you want it to. There’s dozens upon dozens of leave-in conditioner brands that you can experiment with. I personally use Kings Royales and it’s been great. I stopped using Cantu and my hair has been growing MUCH better and retained moisture better too!! (My profile picture is super outdated now and my hair is a lot longer now)
All seriousness really no product can make your hairline grow in faster. If it does grow faster that's because of the care you put in to your own heads up-keep. But Jamaican castor oil is Amazing I would only use it maybe 2-3 times a week to prevent a noticble build-up. It is also light to so it doesn't show on your head really and it smells pretty good.
Never said there was anything wrong with a line up...... The purpose of the video was to explain my preferences and how I minimize risk while growing my hair out💯.
Hey bro I got a question, so I recently cut all my hair off to restart and now it’s looking like a high top buzzcut is it still possible for me to grow out my hair into a full fro?
I would definitely say it's more than possible. I myself have parts of my head they grows unevenly, but over time you barely notice a difference at all. It could just be the top of your head grows faster than the sides. Which is actually pretty cool because that happens to Me Too! And when I braided up the hair covers up the sides anyways. And usually the shape of the Afro makes it hard to notice a difference over time
Nice hair. How do you deal with frizz? I use clippers with a guard to try and combat the frizz but it doesn't work always. Also should I like trim the sides near the front and near the neckline (so taper) if I want it to look good?
I thought i was the only one who likes to have a head full of hair when growing a afro instead of getting a stupid double hairline and a taper fade cuz people don't realize that your double hairline will grow back along with your afro, cuz i been growing out my hair for 9 months too with a head full of hair
Yep made that mistake. Didn’t think hair was growing for months I am 1 year 6 months and hair in the middle goes to my nose. But that’s the same for the hair at the front
That means you don’t know what the double is for. People get the double hair line so that when they get braids, that the braids aren’t pulling back your hairline. That’s why people get a double hairline if you don’t want a BIG forehead looking stupid.

the double lineup also called front taper is for people doing hairstyles like braids that push hairline back overtime so it prevents that
