This music is amazing. But I can't see how's Shakti an amalgamation of the Western and the Eastern music. All I hear is Indian music completely overwhelming and taking over, while the Western idioms take a back seat, if they're present at all. McLaughlin can play the hell out of his instrument, but in this formation he's subjecting himself to playing Indian music on a Western instrument.
you know your music is phenomenal when people listen to it for 30 yrs and tomorrow it will still sound new
