I like the idea of saving resources in case opponents have random follow-up. If Im triggering Catty off of a summon, I want to make sure that Forest is also doing something. E.g. Imperm + Forest renders his Diabellstar useless, while I get to keep the Sprind bounce on either extenders or links that he may go into, which is more resourceful imo. Forest always feels a lot better when achieving moee than just searching Catty on your turn. It's the same reason why I will sometimes not trigger Catty until I see Ash/Oak (to stop the additional send 2 to summon a Snake-Eye effect). Extenders they might have include: Bonfire > Poplar Ash > Poplar Ponix Garunix (which will trigger if you pop their Ash with Herald) Kirin Cards that can be sent for OSS include: Sanctuary/Island (although not very good)/Divine Temple.
Game 2 why not just use belle on flamberge ? Empty board, they can't princess pop. Is it because you assumed they had kirin with another fire in hand ?
That is correct. 2 unknowns, decent odds of them being q Fire. I assumed they had an Ash Blossom in hand which he can use to pop as well. If he didn't have anything in hand aside from Kirin, Belle-ing the Flamberge would've been fine.
hey, i think that u could let the diabellestar resolve and then on ress use pinny to go for herald and use sprind to bounce the witch, then the opponent can't go normal eff bc u can just neg end destroy it and the spell they set is dead, if they don't activate the eff and just normal something u can just negate the spell and u still have herald negate + perma + smashers second i don't know why u play so many card that conflict with shifter in the main, i play spright and i know that shifter is necessary to make the deck good going second against the fire deck, personally i prefer double cross to smasher bc it works under shifter, i watch a lot of ur content and i know that u made a video only talking about shifter and how to adapt the deck to play it, tbo i don't remember everything u said, but why do u play so many cards that don't work under shifter? these are not criticisms, i just love the deck and want to know the reason behind some choices sorry for the long comment, bye ;)
As for cards that don't work under Shifter, only Angler/Sprind don't work under Sprind, and Smashers is a little more awkward to use (can only banish from hand). I tried to make the deck as viable as possible to play through Shifter (hence Ipiria, Super Poly > Scissors, Veilers, Droplets, etc). Smashers was in because I liked being able to dodge Lab/Rescue-Ace traps going 2nd, but I see less of those decks now. I have been experimenting with Double Cross, and I'm liking it for now. Might change if the format changes and Shifter comes out though.
