What a wonderful insight, well done Mark, thinking outside the box rather than becoming a carp fishing robot following the latest trend. We need more down to earth characters in fishing like yourself.
Interesting bit about sand and liquids..... remember nick Helier doing an article in the early days of pva sticks using this on linear ... creates shining spots of attraction but little food attraction..... cherry on the cake 👍
Good vid been messing around with liquids for years now this time of year I like to mix molasses with liquid kelp active csl, small amount of cod liver oil garlic powder and fenugreek plus some demerara sugar mixed up and left in sealed bucket and kept in warm temps like in the house..that goes straight in to a pva bag with a couple of small stones to help it sink can be spombed out or catapulted ...plus gently heating this liquid on the bank can really help👍
I found this very interesting. Gave me a lot to think about, especially the use and content of liquids. Hope you can do more videos in a similar vein Joe
Give it go and find out buddy... In the winter I riddle my maggots and add turmeric to them, repeat the process a few times adding fresh turmeric each time so the maggots take on the flavour, instead of the ammonia smell they usually give off.
Almost certainly not... I don't think Mark has targeted anything but imports for a few years now. Could be wrong, but I no longer talk to lying trolls like Mark.
Isn't this the new bait that shimano tested/developed, followed by a launch day on linear b2, with a load of trade and shop owners - they all blanked til someone used a northern special.... seems mad to leave an established bait company like dna to go to shimano for a bait that may not take off, it's a crowded competitive sector to say the very least.
Not sold on this to be honest, fishing is and should be very simple, find them put a good bait well presented is all you need, this guy confuses every subject , I've been fishing 25 years and wouldn't dream of going to the extents he does, it's simply over kill, the best skill you can develop is watching carp and let them tell you what bait they prefer, start with corn, pellets. keep it simple
@@johnnybegood9560 Just have a look at the countless 40+lb carp this man has caught from this country topped by lots of 50's. Fishing is what you make it and this guy likes the intricacies, he literally says in the video that his view isn't gospel
What’s that got to do with you??? It’s fishing…. It’s suppose to be a hobby for enjoyment,, don’t be a jealous person…. Just because he catches more than you.
Holmesy right on par with Hearn for me, his knowledge, understanding and passion are captivating. Could listen to him all day.
I totally agree with your comment, and I would second that.
💯. Awesome angler . The results don’t lie !!

"Thinking outside the box"??? You mean fishing stock ponds full of imports yes? very original.
crackoffski ha ha ha ha
Mark has a real gift of explaining himself clearly. Brilliant video

Quality vid.. interesting insight to a different angler. Thanks for the upload

Bang a bit spirilina in with the kelp drives carp mad for it.
That sunset was priceless
Very interesting and very wise man..the baits next level
Really has made me think differently about liquids; an excellent video from Holmsey. Looking forward to trying the Shimano Isolate range
Brilliant Mr Holmes love getting into your mind set always gets me thinking. Great edit Joe ;-)
Need more videos with mark
Underrated is a under statement
Tells scared of us
The guy thinks very high of him self

Fantastic vid joe, a true gent and a grassroots giver. Brilliant 5stars
Its only a bit of fishing mate.
Can you use turmeric on your boilies in winter to help you get edge ?

Gift of the gab, thinking outside the box. Wow the guys a genius!
Now go catch some giant foreign stockies in a recently dug puddle..
very intelligent and informative man
I thought what a Fucking Bell end too , and the length of that hair on that rig what a Tosser
A lake 8 years old, with 2 x 50lb carp 🤔 must be imports
Or just been moved from a different lake 🙄
Don’t be jealous mate
Always believed in that concept of liquids.
Great Intro!

Are the fish in this pond legit?

sorry, I don't understand. Does Mark leave his DNA baits and now clicked with Shimano? :/
Yeah left not to long ago like he says in the video new things and new challenges
Shame I didn't realize that.... Personally I thought DNA was Mark Holmes
Wow they grow fast in there, 60lbs in 7 or 8 years.
They must be good stock Bernie... I'll ring Belgium and ask.
Had it....

Lol have you seen the fish he has caught since leaving
100% right
My god this guy is so arrogant.

His big fish catch record surpasses most if not all, so there is proof in the pudding

hes back with nutrabaits now
Shame he has gone down this road. He used to be a respectable angler but now fishes for overgrown stockies.

I make fishing clips
Trolls are out in force... Must be the munter imports you catch Mark??? Oh quick, deny it and call me a troll. lol
Who’s gives a fuck , why do you care what he catches or fishes for ……???
