Just watched the movie, and not only it was great, but to see Heydan stand up with actors in the caliber of Kevin Kline, additionally being nominated for a primary award, at 20 years old, is insane. Never mind the fact that two years later he also played amazingly in Shatter Glass, if it wasn't for misdirection of films and the poor work, he wouldn't been great through his career.

I watched the movie and it was great! The story and plot was good and the Christensen did a great job at acting as a teen with angst. The character development was also nice to see from all characters, not just Sam. It was a beautifully emotional film and most definetly a tearjerker. I would love to find another movie like this.

He has a very promising career. He was praised for the very first projects he did. The play this is our youth got great critics just as this movie and shattered glass. But then after Star Wars he never got praised by critics again. It pretty much ruined promising career
Hayden has been on the down low these past few years. Maybe it's because he hasn't been doing super well in his personal life, maybe he's lost some confidence in himself, maybe a combination of both--whatever the reason, it's a shame because he had always excelled at these weighty, emotional turmoil roles (the exact roles that the Academy/GG/SAG/etc. love). Hopefully the Kenobi show will whet Hayden's appetite for acting again and we'll see him more in the future.

@@MELTEDBUHTTER There is a subset of the SW fandom that is very toxic--very cruel with their words and dissatisfied with anything that doesn't conform to their head canon. It's like going to a museum and trash talking a painter because he/she didn't use the colour palette they wanted. Unfortunately, this subset is also the loudest and drowns out everyone else. I hope that Hayden (and Ewan) recognizes this more now and tries to not take it too personally; it's the unfortunate nature of the beast with large franchises. If Hayden feels more energized and in a better place mental health-wise, I would encourage him to get back in the game if he still has the same passion for the craft that he did two decades ago. He has an emotional gravitas very suited to serious drama roles. Totally unrelated, but it always makes me happy to hear that he makes time for his daughter. That's important. Kids grow up in a flash.

Every normal fully functioning human knows, well before they're teenagers, that the only reason you appear to be dependent (on anyone) is because you are being abused - defrauded, dehumanized, psychologically terrorized, gaslit - and that is your fault because you are letting "them" abuse you.

Because the fans were so toxic to not only the films but the actors, George lost his motivation and sold it to Disney. Not to mention, that when the first prequel movie was advertised to come out the fans of the originals, who grew up with them, they were used to a space western vibe and not the space opera with samurai vibes, Shakespearian political intrigue tale, that they got. So they complained about that too.
This is the definition of the kid that says, "I don't give a fuck," but it's really just exposing how much he really cares and craves attention. If you're really zen, you don't gotta say nothing.
