Same! Moved here, registered, and found out I was unregistered just days after when LaRose purged the voter rolls just days before the deadline so they could then put forth a special election of which they said they would not do, and chose to do when many were out of the state on vacation.
Now, I waited to register until I went to the DMV(BMV here), and the old loon behind the counter that's been there for a decade still didn't know how to do her job, so I not only had to re-register, I had to go back and redo my entire license information. THEN, I still wasn't registered, and had to check online.
This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to have a Hawk's eye on something so easy. That's what they are counting on, people to be too busy, too distracted.

My daughter was volunteering at her local Democratic headquarters years ago. She looked up my registration just for the heck of it and found out that I had died. The lovely child brought me back to life. I have no idea who did that. My name is one of a kind, so it wasn’t a mistake.

tips ARE the bulk of the income. THE MINIMUM wage for service workers if ABYSMAL
2/3 of them don't even make enough money to be taxed on the tips. Mostly if this goes into effect, we need to safeguard it, as Kamala sounds like she's trying to, against the wealthy simply creating more loopholes for themselves.

The Chappell Roan conversation has been on my mind for a while. The past few years felt like the people were in high positions because of privilege instead of skill. It is nice now that we're seeing the new big people that are there because of their skill and hard work. They have become the biggest thing despite not of fitting the commercial mold. Regarding Flava Flav’s clock and the way it’s worn; he doesn’t need to check the time because, in the parlance of the time, he “knows what time it is”. That clock is for those of us who don’t. The "weird" comment is based on their policies and isn't a simple personal attack. "These are weird people on the other side. They want to take books away. They want to be in your exam room,” Walz said
Vance is insecure and mentally unhealthy, which isn't that weird until it drives him to extreme views and destroying his integrity by serving Thiel and/or Trump.
It seems likely his political attacks have some connection to his insecurities, so I would ask him if he has negative feelings about his own military service not bring in combat.
Obviously, Vance's chameleon comment directed at Kamala Harris is about his overly adaptive behavior.
I just read that Vance converted to Catholicism in 2019. I also found a response to him not supporting banning abortion pills from C.J. Doyle, executive director of the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, “Vance has no principles, at least none that aren’t for sale, and the asking price is cheap,” Hopefully, his parish is more supportive of him as a person.
It would be bad for Vance to win this election and think not being himself is the key to success in life.

The reason the international judging changed is because the number of complex skills done in a routine has become over whelming.
In the past the judge did many jobs. Form.....think pointed toes. excision how well you did the skill. value that is how many points each skill is worth.
That is a lot to keep track of. So they split up the jobs. There is a judge for each job. So you have one judge who all they care about is value.
That is a better way to do it.
But in the past there was one thing that they do not have now. That is that because the job as judge is subjective you need more than one judge to balance out the attitude.
They went as far as four judges. That was also a very good way to keep the scores fair.

I watched the Bronze and Gold Medal rounds of Break Dancing (or Breaking... whatever) and it was actually really fun to watch. There was an energy and camaraderie between opponents that was nice to watch.
Peacock also had a video with Steve Kornaki giving an explanation of how the scoring worked and it was deeper than each judge ambiguously picking their favorite. Made me appreciate the technique and effort that goes into Breaking and I'm kinda sad they aren't going to be at the next Olympics.

Tips to service people should not be taxed because the people leaving the tip have already paid income tax on the money they are leaving for the service people. IMO - The government shouldn’t be able to collect income tax twice on the same money.

Raygun Plot Twist - she wrote a scholarly article denouncing the "sportification" of break dancing, saying that if there are big corporations lining up to profit from it, and if there are worldwide rules and standards to be adhered to, it would ruin break dancing. Up to this point, competitions have been locally organized and controlled, and fully creative. Based on that, I suspect that she purposely tanked it at the Olympics. I know she earned her spot on the team, and from what I have read, there are much better female breakers in Australia that would have definitely won against her Olympic performances. So... something to think about.

They could make a lot of changes. Wrestling needs more than 6 weight divisions. They could lose ping pong and badminton. Swimmers are awarded too many medals. Most sports, you have a shot at 1 medal, if you win a bunch of games. Swimmers can win medals for every race; that's why all the Olympic records for most medals are held by them. I could do without NBA players and professional golfers there; they make a ton of money and this is not the pinnacle of their sport, unlike every other event (soccer too, but I don't mind that, at least for the women, since they aren't making a fortune, and it's still a big deal after the World Cup).
