The Devels weve seen in the excrutiatingly cringeworthy "taking delivery of" videos (lets face it they were bad werent they?) have all been of very poor build quality for a start....
The outside has outrageous panel gap issues. For a display version, when youre going to be asking huge amounts money for the car, youd want the full size model perfect....
Theres no brake calipers visible on any of those cars.
The Veyron has ten radiators on board to keep things cool and intakes to go with them....nothing of the sort on the Devel concept.....what few inlets there are all too small for the task being asked of them and they all blanked off. Nothing about its exterior says any kind of money has been spent on aerodynamic development...it has none and is more about what a ten yr old would like it to look like...rather than functionality.
Then you go to that hideous interior (which feels more like a truck cab)......crushed velvet left with the Brady Bunch (thank god) but its ok because someone knew a friend of the Bradys who had still some.....nothing about its inside says bespoke hypercar.....it says inside of a bellydancing lounge in Cairo......minus the fag smoke.
The seats look as comfortable as say, half a plastic mop bucket, the pedals, which are dangerously close together are made for garden gnomes with tiny feet......
The door locks look like something off an 80s era car, or possibly even a Trabant....a far far better car than the Devel....it was real at least....
As for the steering wheel....seriously????.....theyre either havin a laff or......it was designed by that ten yr old again (he really likes Nintendo)...can you really see youreself driving at 400 odd kmh, with any sense of confidence, or sanity, with a rectangular steering wheel?....I think not....call mr ol fashioned, mr late 1900s.....Is a round steering wheel to much to ask??....those stupid buttons....dont get me started.....

@@enderjeff293 despite having better aerodynamic than the Devel Sixteen, the Chiron still couldn't pass more than 300mph because of its tires capability and also the drag itself, it's way harder to reach 400kmh from 300kmh than reach 200kmh from 100kmh because the drag is getting higher exponentially and with that doubtable aerodynamic (the Devel Sixteen), i think that car couldn't reach high speed easily

It can't. The engine block has no water jackets, and is what's known as a "dry block". Very common for drag racing engines making anything more than 3000hp. No coolant flowing means it can't be driven on the street.

I'm not listening to Morris, I'll go straight to the comments, where the real experts reside.
Steve Morris built this engine 8 years ago and his Dyno was capped at 4500 horsepower. It made 3,000 on pump gas and 4500 on C16 with a conservative tune and boost. Motor was real. Manufacture of the car and making it happen was not.
Why aren't any high end car manufacturers making engines like this then, this seems like such a big gap from anything existing today. Most hypercars will have hundreds and even 1-2k hp but nothing like this. On the other hand you have drag cars that hit thousands and even 10k+ hp, but that's a different story, those engines don't last too long and aren't meant for everyday use obviously.

it really looks like 2 LS engines were fabricated together, you can tell by the split in the exhaust manifold. if you look at other engines you can see that even v12 have no split in the exhaust manifold

so basically, its a twin block LS, a CNC milled 16 cylinder block, with literally everything just created as a one piece instead of doing it like a pull truck or tractor in the unlimited class and run multiple engines, cool. everyday street driving, and every weekend rebuilds, cool. Yes I know this video is old.

This car was fake from start. Yes there are couple riding cars done, but it's not clear about their performance. Like there are theories about car didn't have v16 but smaller v8 and definitely not 5000HP

That thing is basically 2 LS motors welded together with 4 turbos, some aftermarket parts and also tuning (i think the LS that they used is the LS3 engine because 6.2 times 2 is 12.4 which is close to the actual displacement of the Devel Sixteen engine)

Looks like two chevy ls engines bolted together. My uncle Leroy did the same thing 10 years ago in his garage using 4 locomotive turbos and running the thing off of ever clear. It made 9000 hp.

It's a complete other thing putting that horsepower through to the wheels and onto the road.
Any real top automotive engineer can make a massively powerful engine then whack a load of turbos to it, the real challenge is putting that power on the road...Which this obviously can't
