I was at this match and they've just taken the fences down just after Hillsborough tragedy it was a really lovely warm day and I was sitting right by the teams benches fantastic game of football And Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest were absolutely fantastic

The competition was created after the Heysel Stadium disaster, when English clubs were banned from European competition, as an additional competition for clubs in the top two divisions (but not the top six from 198485 in the 198586 season as these played in the Super Cup).
my dad got me 2 tickets for this match, almost on the halfway line. It was the best football match I've ever seen. 7 goals and a fair few goal mouth clearances, great saves. and btw I'm a hammer
I was at this game. .the result wasn't great but the atmosphere was..I was ten and I remember being with my dad and his mates and my brother, we spent ages in a pub with forest fans..good fans they are
It may have been a minor cup, but back then winning a trophy actually meant something, regardless of what trophy it was. Superior to today where "let's get fourth place" is the sum total of a club's ambition if they don't have a billionnaire owner.

Parkers second was one of the best ever goals scored at Wembley and should be spoken of as so.
Nice to see the players shaking hands with each other and the ref afterwards. That doesn't happen enough today.
