- Two Dollar Bettor 1951 Crime film noir movie about the dangers of gambling and how an honest man ends up stealing when after a short period of winning, he hits a losing streak and his savings are soon gone. He then starts to take money from the bank where he works. After the secretary of his bookie lets him know that the bookmaker has a sure thing if he can get $20,000 he can get in on it and solve all his problems. Of course it ends in typical Film noir fashion. Broken Trout Movies

Gambling is as bad as alcohol addiction.Whole stinking country has legalized all kinds of gambling.Pathetic.
I'm not proud of it but I was a bookie for 20 years and basically nobody but the house wins and it's everywhere in sports today and young kids notice.Not good.
Betting money controls pro football. Many games are being fixed including SUPERBOWL The elites control the show and the team franchises. Competion has become secondary.

Gambling is as bad as a booze addiction.
No it isn't. Chirrhosis of the wallet is of a material thing where as alcohol kills fleash, blood and bone whilst putting a drinker in a depressed state.
I'd rather live with alcoholic. Gamblers make me sick with their stories of winning.
