They made it a typical unrealistic shooter because a) they want to copy the latest Bruckheimer-style shoot-em-up movie, and b) these modern console kiddies couldn't hack it trying to play an old-school R6 game.
This iteration of Siege is not worthy of making more tactical again. It is far too gone. It is a unbearably frustrating mess. There needs to he a totally new Siege 2.0 by a different! developer that is guided by core principles and not by corporate agenda to maximise profit with silly clown anime skins or sexually suggestive attempts at luring in more players with Iana Elite etc.

I bought siege expecting a tactical Rainbow game, but got a tactical Overwatch game instead. Operators aside, the gameplay became far too sweaty and toxic for myself and my friends, as we wanted to have laid back fun. Much of this games characters, lore, and cinematics became far too wacky for me to take seriously. Even so, I watch the short movies for the lore, and I would find it interesting if Deimos was Bishop or Logan. Bishop after the first game was promoted to deputy director before the government closed Rainbow, which could have made him bitter. And Logan was still a team leader with Rainbow until 2019. His accent is similar.
In defense of Harry, he did a good job as a psychologist to keep Rainbow together and value each other’s strengths because it’s an international group with different beliefs. Harry was good at keeping conflict to a minimum But he’s not a military person, it was only a matter of time before someone with just as strong military expertise challenges them

Rivalries come to a boiling point and suddenly, when Nighthaven gets involved, some of those operators choose to leave the unit over said rivalries. Especially the rivalry concerning Ash and Kali, after Kali nearly blew her head off to win a mock battle.
The plot armor in this scene is unreal. No ones properly utilizing cover. Just walking around shooting people like all the bad guys went to the stormtrooper school for shooting. Aside from damius providing some realistic complaints about the bastardization of the tom clancy franchise, most of the dialogue is Hollywood nonsense that real people would never say.
Deimos does have a point i started playing Siege at the beginning of it's time i loved it up until they turned a team of counterterrorists to the fucking Olympics and made characters that looked like they were straight out of overwatch Ubisoft fucked Siege so much it stopped feeling like a tactical game and more like a generic hero shooter i ended up disliking it and completely stopped playing it about a year ago. Also glad Harry ain't around anymore he always annoyed me.
I just want a R6 in the style of the original trilogy. It’s so sad how they never brought that back. Even Vegas wasn’t like the original trilogy. Nobody even makes games like those three anymore not even indie devs, they all prefer SWAT 4 style like Ready or Not.
Based on the size of the c4 ash and thermite shouldn't be dead but for sure heavily injured irl atleast but looking at what the game gives us they should be 100 percent dead ash in-game is fast af by herself add the force of the explosion showed they hit ANYTHING ground included their dead.
If I’m not wrong every and everything especially today in gaming development times can take anywhere from 6 months to years to develop things,like for example look at apex legends,they have legends being developed over 2 years in advance sometimes that get leaked,it’s very common to have things like this in development for over a year or two
R6 went from a covert spec ops squad to a glorified sporting team. I became disillusioned once that dumbass sporting event came out and basically was all "yeah its all just a new sport, there is no seriousness here".
This is kind of random, but honestly we should make another playlist and this playlist limits all the operators down to the original day one operators, and basically this game mode has more realistic field to it like, for example, if you get shot, you’ll start to bleed and your blood can be tracked and you’re slowly just start to bleed out and in this game mode and just basically tries to make the game more realistic and you can play a unranked version of it only

The story and lore of rainbow six is so... Messed up. Weird decision to focus on operator olympics rsther than serious high stake crisis scenarios like OG rainbow six or rainbow six vegas. Its like they looked at Overwatch and Apex legends and wanted to just continue to make weird E-sport comparisons
I just want to point this out: the games definitely aren't giving away tactics or weaponry, because when will rainbow ever find themselves in a 5v5 against terrorist organizations? Consider the other cinematics, rainbow is either outnumbered or they outnumber. When kali is captured by ghosteyes, it was a 1v10 When Nokk infiltrates nighthaven, it was a 1v1 When redhammer and ghosteyes here attack the thugs, it was a 5v10 or something Also, the game's objective is bomb defusal, yet in this cinematics mentioned, there is never a bomb. They use different tactics, and remember, they know that the stakes here are much lower than in the field. They will fight differently And also, why should a operator be limited to using only their gadgets? Why can't an attacker use c4? Or a defender claymores? If anything, its to boost publicity because an army does not survive without the support of its people, and rainbow is no exception

This was what Deimos was talking about. Had the old 6 not moved up to become USA's Secretary of Defence, none of this would've ever happened. That's the problem he's pointing out, and none of what Harry did improved on the already-established relations amongst the world's elite operatives.
Hell, Ash and Tachanka were cool during Operation Chimera, and they both come from countries that were recently in a cold war with one another. All Harry did was give pep-talks and expose his operatives to the world; neither of which did any good.

Rivalries come to a boiling point and suddenly, when Nighthaven gets involved, some of those operators choose to leave the unit over said rivalries. Especially the rivalry concerning Ash and Kali, after Kali nearly blew her head off to win a mock battle.

The plot armor in this scene is unreal. No ones properly utilizing cover. Just walking around shooting people like all the bad guys went to the stormtrooper school for shooting.
Aside from damius providing some realistic complaints about the bastardization of the tom clancy franchise, most of the dialogue is Hollywood nonsense that real people would never say.

Deimos does have a point i started playing Siege at the beginning of it's time i loved it up until they turned a team of counterterrorists to the fucking Olympics and made characters that looked like they were straight out of overwatch Ubisoft fucked Siege so much it stopped feeling like a tactical game and more like a generic hero shooter i ended up disliking it and completely stopped playing it about a year ago.
Also glad Harry ain't around anymore he always annoyed me.

I just want a R6 in the style of the original trilogy. It’s so sad how they never brought that back. Even Vegas wasn’t like the original trilogy. Nobody even makes games like those three anymore not even indie devs, they all prefer SWAT 4 style like Ready or Not.

If I’m not wrong every and everything especially today in gaming development times can take anywhere from 6 months to years to develop things,like for example look at apex legends,they have legends being developed over 2 years in advance sometimes that get leaked,it’s very common to have things like this in development for over a year or two

Jokes on him Siege died years ago when they decided to double down on the gooft skins, unessacarry changes, braindead map reworks and operator tweaks instead of fixing issues, adding better more interesting content and keeping the gameplay and tech realistic.

I just want to point this out: the games definitely aren't giving away tactics or weaponry, because when will rainbow ever find themselves in a 5v5 against terrorist organizations?
Consider the other cinematics, rainbow is either outnumbered or they outnumber.
When kali is captured by ghosteyes, it was a 1v10
When Nokk infiltrates nighthaven, it was a 1v1
When redhammer and ghosteyes here attack the thugs, it was a 5v10 or something
Also, the game's objective is bomb defusal, yet in this cinematics mentioned, there is never a bomb. They use different tactics, and remember, they know that the stakes here are much lower than in the field. They will fight differently
And also, why should a operator be limited to using only their gadgets? Why can't an attacker use c4? Or a defender claymores?
If anything, its to boost publicity because an army does not survive without the support of its people, and rainbow is no exception

Ever since they started to put effort and story and time into their 'lore and story', alongside when Harry was introduced, the game's been going downhill. I hope to god the story ends at some point and they start putting that time into making their game better.
