Nah, I think the saddest part of Mandy's death was when she was frantically running towards the door to try and open it to get to her beloved worrying dad, her outburst of "DAD" really sends a saddening tickle down my spine :[

Also, if Sheila were to appear, we could see Karen with Jamie, but I'd definitely keep it as cameos only since a lot of fans seem to be put off by anything post S2 or S3 lol
This would have been the perfect moment to end the show. Mandy Maguire was such a core character. In fact, herself, Karen and Frank are probably (IMO) the heart and soul of the show. For one to just go like that, was pretty impactful to say to least.

Jamie's voice is not the best but the imperfections, the emotion more than make up for that and make it all the more real. Completely agree with your comments on the USA version.

This was, for me, the pivotal point in the show. Mandy was integral to a lot of the story and I think the Maguires (with the exception of Micky) plateaued after this, not to mention how the Gallaghers gradually left and the replacement characters just didn't have the same impact.
oh, no, the Maguires continued to evolve after this just not in a good way. Like Mimi being out of character in the first episode of S8, when she's looking for her baby's father and one of the possible dads has a boyfriend and the boyfriend slaps her and she just walks away in shame... the fact that she didn't headbutt him was so disappointing... details like those were annoying to me however I do enjoy series 7-11 for what they are but the quality did decline in some aspects.
This just made me cry gotta say i hated Mandy at first but she did grow on me her death was probably the most saddest i ever seen on Shameless. Disappointing how they didn't bring Lip back though he was a massive part of her life
