@@TC16842 yeah exactly. I have a charger. I had the option of picking and i chose the gt awd. I get 305hp which is more than enough and I live in ny so the awd is handy during snowy days. I had really wanted the v8 but I’m not about to live at the gas station, shovel outta snow every two blocks due to rwd, and not to mention risk it being stolen after spending my hard earned money on it. Its one thing its expensive, its another that it is severely overpriced. All that money and then I have to sleep with one eye open, no thanks

Expert car collectors say the car could possibly be worth in the future the dealer just made any future money that was to be made off of that car a matter of fact the guy is going to be $50,000 in the hole that's if the price even goes up to $200,000 which most experts believe will not happen. There's people losing their minds and getting mixed up in the excitement but when they come down to earth they will find what the real price is going to be in the future and they are not going to be happy.

I see many people in the comments upset about the 120K markup, I don't like it either. But honestly, I don't think this car will be marketed to anyone BUT the people who can afford to drop 250K into a car. This thing is not for the regular, everyday mopar fan. For most people it doesn't even make sense to buy a regular Demon even at a reasonable price, let alone spend 300K on a car that you won't drive often at all. It's for people that have money to burn lol
When you get to $250,000 there are foreign exotics that start to look really good! My guess they will have a hard time getting that much out of them once the first craziness wears off! Time will tell!

How is buying this 170 an investment? How long would it take to profit from such an outrageous mark up? I get it, there are some folks that just don't care, and they can throw the money. However, man there is something disturbing about dealerships acting like an online commodity exchange. Sorry, don't see the value here given the expense and the long-term exposure just to get even. Am I wrong?
I see these more as a collectors item and less as an investment. There is a good chance it appreciates down the road but I would count more on it just losing less money than the average vehicle.

Lol, the guy is instantly upside down 120K on the car and the salesman acts like it's normal. Oh, the supercharger is a direct bolt-on to a Hellcat, you dont need a larger hood. The actual size of the blower is not much bigger physically than the 2.7L and 2.4L units; they get the extra displacement by slightly increasing the size of the rotors like they did with the 2.4L to the 2.7L blowers. Whipple makes a 3L blower for the Hellcats and you don't need a new hood, it's the rotors that make the displacement difference.

Just picked up my Charger Hellcat last Thursday in Plum Crazy..Love it, and I'm fine with the 717HP.. And paid Invoice for mine.. Nice to work for a dealership company that has a Dodge dealer who takes care of its employees.. Our Demon 170 we were allocated was sold for only 25000 over. Not to bad and I get it.. Hello everyone. Sorry for the dumb question as I am a new fan of this type of car. So for the Dodge Hellcat/Redeye/Demon experts my question is this. Why can't the Dodge Demon and Hellcats/Redeyes have those extended fairing type things from the sides of the wheel wells?
I don't know what they are called but they are round and follow the housing of the tires. It makes the car look a little wider. Also, is the four door Challenger called "Charger." I'm really confused as there seems to be layer upon layer of specs and design level features to this car. God bless all in the Dodge Challenger community.
the demon, hellcat, scat pack & redeyes all have the option to have the fender flares. anything under the scat pack trim level does not. The 4 door sedan is the charger, the 2 door is challenger.
It’s a wide body version for the hellcats scatpacks and the demons come with it stock. Anything under a scatpack 392 doesn’t have a wide body. There is a narrow body and a wide-body version. It’s kinda like Cheetos vs cheese puffs. Widebodys do have a few extra features suspension wise.
Difference between a hellcat/scat/demon is the engine. Scatpack is naturally aspirated v8. Hellcats are a supercharged v8. Demons are the maxed out supercharger v8.
Chargers are the 4 door cars. They highest version of that car is a hellcat redeye jailbreak which I believe is a lil over 800 hp. There is no demon charger.
Challengers are the 2 doors. The highest level is the demon as you see here. There is a jailbreak challenger as well.

My track car, a 90 Fox body Notch, is dyno'd at 934 to the wheels, runs 9:20's all day long in cooler temps. I have less than 36k in the car and trailer.

Dealer marrkups are criminal. Cars -- any car -- should sell for MSRP or less. Imagine going to the grocery store and bidding for a loaf of bread -- highest bidder takes it. 99.5% of us would starve.
