Just a quick question on wiring the backlighting, can I connect this to my power from mg grill lights that is fuse tapped on my Fuse 44 so its always on as my grill lights? Thanks!
Yes they turn on with the factory switch and if you leave them off the are amber until your turn and the fog light on the side you’re turning to turns on
Another great video amongst many. The only modification I have done so far to my 2019 Rebel is adding the Auxbeam 8 switch controller. Getting ready for accessory lights. I would like to add these Diode Dynamic fog lights just like you did and have the amber backlighting. You referred to a relay that you taped into. How would I do the same thing utilizing my Auxbeam controller? Not sure how I could tap into my sidemarker while using the Auxbeam controller. Thank you for any help that you may offer.
You can use a relay and the auxbeam controller, it’s one or the other. I’d recommended running any backlighting on a relay that turns on when the truck turns on and all off-road light circuits by the auxbeam.
@@WaterFowler41 So the power driving the white (full power) version is coming from a designated hot terminal on the Auxbeam and the separate relay will give it the back lighting when truck is on? If so, I assume I can then place the fogs on full white by way of the switch in the controller when I want while driving? Sorry for questions, just trying to understand it.
Sorry let me clarify, with this specific kit you’d run the wires for the backlighting to the relay and the rest of the harness will plug into your factory fog light plugs. There’s no need for the auxbeam to run these. Then you’ll control the fogs just like control them today with the factory button.
Looks sick!!! Great job on the install!
Thanks man! I know of a Trx they’d look equally sick on….
Great video!
Nice! Thanks, bud, and as always, great videos!
Thanks for watching!
Another great informative install video. I should have purchased them when they were on sale. Dang, I want them now for my Rebel.
Can’t put a price on happiness! Pull the trigger!
@@AXNJXN1 they are NOT $60. That's for the brackets only. The kit is $420.
@AXNJXN1 the link defaults to the bracket only kit, click “sport” and it’ll give you the price for the entire kit.
Per usual, great information! I think I’ll drop the Morimoto fog kit for this. Even aimed correctly, I’ll still get high beamed.

Should be able too
Do your amber backlights turn on automatically during the day? Unfortunately mine don’t. They do turn on automatically at night.
Mine are tapped into my drl harness which is tied to the marker lights so yes they turn on when my truck turns on
Great content once again. Bought the amber fog lights. Love them. Your DRLs stand out. What was done to them? Already show that in a previous video?
Nothing everything is factory in my headlights, maybe the camera made them pop more?
Do you have to use the backlight feature? Or could you simply not use that harness so it doesn’t activate?
No you don’t, just don’t connect the two extra single wires
Could you get inside the cab shots?
Diode dynamics didn't send me the wiring harness you have. Also your factory connector diagram is gone.
If you bought their kit, the harness should come as a part of it. If you didn't receive it, I'd call them.
Great video. I have a feeling your channel is going to cost me some money.
My apologies for the impact my channel had on your wallet!
👍💐
Will they work the same way as the factory oem style
