Excellent review. I've been using this as my primary cloud storagefor years. I've tried several cloud services, but I don't think there's anything else that exactly offers these features for the price. I like the rock-solid security of the end-to-end encryption and the reliability of the syncing among my Macs and devices.
hi there - yup, once I started to use it I was blown away with just how good it is and so affordable as well. It's an awesome cloud storage solution that I'd recommend to anyone. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏻
Evening Young Sir, and a timely video. I have been for a while pondering about back ups be it fo r my media (Ive lost data in the past - not permanently but had to re rip all my 5.1 music discs) movie collection etc. So looking at both local and off-home backup…. Talking of music is that a sax in the background of some of your videos? Two o my favourite instruments is the sax and clarinet. Wish i could play…. Ought to email you
Young sir will forever get my attention! Firstly, I have been mightily impressed with Sync - the unlimited storage makes it a no-brainer! The sax story! The alto behind me was my grandad's - he was a pro in the 20s and 30s. It was renovated but the fingering is really odd apparently. My dad played too as a pro briefly and in a lovely round-up, my daughter ended up playing his tenor and got a degree in jazz playing it. The talent pool missed me!
@@DavidLewisTech The price is well good, compared to the offerings of Dropbox/appl;e etc especially for unlimited data. No point in getting a super cooper set up as my Virgin media upload is limited to 50Mb…. So will take ages to upload any serious files but guess it is 24/7
@@DavidLewisTech which in thus day and age is dire. While as consumers who are possibly paying less for soem of out Internet services compared to businesses, we still deserve faster upload speeds be it for photos, videos etc…
As always, great video David! Right on time as I was considering a new cloud solution myself. Have you ever considered something like Arq Backup and using it with some kind of cold cloud storage? 🤔
nah - sadly my routers do not yet support 7 but I am thinking of buying one that does support it. At the studio the set-up isn't mine - it's whatever the tech support company have set up in the building...but it is much quicker than my affair at home. I've just uploaded the podcast in 4K today...it's that much better!
I love to watch your UA-cam videos. Your content is excellent.
Thank you so much for making excellent videos.
With support and comments like this Mohammad, it makes it all so worth while. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I hope you are sub'd! 🙏🏻
Great overview and guide for all the features! thank you
Glad it was helpful! 👊🏻

Yup - we are all slaves to our upload speeds!

uploading an hour-long podcast in 4K is painful!

Hey - great to hear from you!
Honestly, this solution from sync.com is amazing...and unlimited storage!! Unheard of in cloud storage solutions!
@@DavidLewisTechI totally agree with you. Would be really nice to see a video about your backup strategy in general🤟🏻
great idea - maybe when the iPhone season dies down I could think of that for some content 🤛🏻
@@DavidLewisTech Looking forward to🤞🏻
What is your local network consist of? You’ve mentioned WiFi 7 in several recent videos, do you have a local DAS/NAs as well?

Love this idea of switching from Dropbox. Is it possible to share Final Cut libraries with my team (who are all remote)?
Yes, absolutely 👍🏻
