Erin, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your willingness to experiment without knowing the outcome and the fact you post the videos even when the recipes don't turn out perfectly. Your videos and authenticity are a breath of fresh air in this world where fake perfection is becoming more and more prevalent. Thank you for being real.
I love how calm and sweet you are in the kitchen. I'm usually rushing, stressed out, throwing stuff in the sink.. as much as I enjoy cooking I'm always in a rush haha. those looked amazing by the way!
Erin-love your positivity-it's a choice and you do it well! I am from Texas but I graduated from Wesleyan in Macon! I met Josh a year or so ago and love you both! Keep cooking cause I love it!❤❤❤
You're so adorable! My hubby is Adam and is my favorite person! So I relate to you and your Adam! Y'all are too cute! Thank you for embracing the UA-cam world! Love you and Joshua! Xoxo
Would typically cringe when hearing someone say taquitos like that, but you make it sound cute. Lol! Also, if you flash fry the tortillas beforehand (1-2 seconds on each side) they're easier to roll & won't crack. You can still bake them like that, too!
I would spread a little refried beans on the tortilla before I put the beef mixture...that might help with the consistency. I can't wait to try these!!
boil 2 tomatoes 2 jalapeños blend them w. 1 garlic claw and add salt that's how you make the salsa to eat your taquitos or Flautas. i love your videos!
The way my thia (aunt in Spanish) makes them is she flash fries the tortilla on each side for like 1-2 seconds. Then she adds the filling. Then she stick them with a toothpick and fries them with a toothpick so they don't fall apart. When u take the toothpicks out they will be perfect
I'm from AZ and homemade corn taquitos are fried. Pretty sure the frozen kind are also pre-fried and instructions are to re-heat in the oven. If you are trying a healthy version of taquitos the flour taquitos bake much better. 👍🏻
Season the beef with some salt and taco seasoning before/while browning, then season mixture to taste afterwards. Whole or roughly chopped beans might work better, or using the re-fried beans as layer and putting the meat on top.
Great video as always-...*next time try using Ortega Taco Seasoning to the meat.. (I get the big container with the blue lid at Walmart for $4) it makes the taco meat taste delicious and it creates a sauce!! I also use refried black beans as they are so much tastier mixed with the meat! *I also add my cheese to the meat mix and then spread cheese dip on each tortilla before rolling!
Try not adding the beans to the meat.. cook your beans and meat separately. When you're ready to roll, spread a little beans, add your meat and roll. Also authentic taquitos are fried. You can keep them together by inserting a toothpick where the seam is so it won't spread open like it did.
My mom always does this with the tortillas. She has a separate pan on low heat with a bit of oil enough to soften and the tortilla and have it floppy enough to roll them up. It helps the tortilla from breaking.
I prefer white corn tortillas rather than the yellow ones for taquitos; they keep their shape better. Also, try making them with just shredded beef or chicken instead of ground beef and beans, they are so good.
You could use the tune from Jump Jive for your "apron bounce"! : ) If you cook your ground beef with some Garlic Salt you will never be lacking salt and it gives a great flavor. Garlic Salt is one of my staples with any ground beef recipe.
And the frozen chicken and cheese taquitos by old El Paso are the best and only way to go and they are really easy bc u can just microwave them for like 2:00
As usual this was funny. We like to say things funny on purpose too but I hate when people say things incorrectly because they don't bother learning new things.
A good friend of mine made these for me for my birthday this year. He used eggroll wraps instead though and deep fried them. He said his family used to make them all the time and calls them "Mexican eggrolls"
Erin part of what makes you so funny is your little quirks like saying things funny! If you want to pronounce tacquitos differently, do it! Don't let comments get to you (if that's why you kept correcting yourself)
Adam is right though... the real taquitos from the store taste better bc they pump them with generic crap and fry them. These are wayyyyy healthier so of course they are going to taste different... but you made me hungry!

I love how he actually reviews and gets into it.
You being a smile to my face every week, thanks.

the song off legally blonde 2...its got a line in it that goes "we got more bounce in California" that would be a good apron bounce song
That turned out well! Great job
I grew up off of these! I never really thought to make homemade ones, thanks for the idea for tonight!
I look forward to Saturday's to learn a new recipe from you!! Keep em coming.. 😀

Taquitos are one of my faves 🙌🏼
this made me so hungry!!! love you guys!💙💙
He's so encouraging
you should put together clips of your brothers "bounce with me" from his dingleberry bounce song
Would typically cringe when hearing someone say taquitos like that, but you make it sound cute. Lol! Also, if you flash fry the tortillas beforehand (1-2 seconds on each side) they're easier to roll & won't crack. You can still bake them like that, too!
Amber Puckett How are they supposed to be pronounced?
Oh, nevermind. I heard the way that she likes to say it.
Cute right? 😂
Love your hair twisted back like that! So pretty.
I would love to see a video of you and Adam telling your love story!
I would spread a little refried beans on the tortilla before I put the beef mixture...that might help with the consistency. I can't wait to try these!!
they look soooo good omg
Def gonna try. I love dipping them in sour cream :)
I made chicken and dumplings and then added deviled eggs and mashed potatoes all homemade
it was so delicious you should try it Erin
boil 2 tomatoes 2 jalapeños
blend them w. 1 garlic claw and add salt
that's how you make the salsa to eat your taquitos or Flautas.
i love your videos!
Fry em in oil for one to two seconds on each side to roll them easier and they won't open or crack!

Asbel Barrientos ik autocorrect changed it
Erin is so awesome
I love you Erin !
Great idea!!
I feel like cheese would have been a nice addition ?

The bounce song when you put your apron on should be, ignition by r Kelly!!!!
Season the beef with some salt and taco seasoning before/while browning, then season mixture to taste afterwards. Whole or roughly chopped beans might work better, or using the re-fried beans as layer and putting the meat on top.
Try to add cheese in it, might help add a little saltiness and balance out the beef. Wonder if the beans may have contributed to them busting?

I love you so much. You are so amazing and funny😂😍
Use the dingleberry bounce for your apron dance
soft and neat

Mexican? lol
Jesus Ruvalcaba yeah😂😂
Man, we just love to criticize white people trynna be Mexican 😂
Jesus Ruvalcaba I'm not criticizing. I'm just giving advice for a next time.
At least it's constructive criticism. nobody can be mad at advice that will actually help you...
My mom always does this with the tortillas. She has a separate pan on low heat with a bit of oil enough to soften and the tortilla and have it floppy enough to roll them up. It helps the tortilla from breaking.
Of course you let the tortilla sit in the oil for like a min or less, not to fully cook the tortilla but to have it warm enough and flimsy
I prefer white corn tortillas rather than the yellow ones for taquitos; they keep their shape better. Also, try making them with just shredded beef or chicken instead of ground beef and beans, they are so good.
Am I the only one who replays the intro? I love her laugh!
Wonderful
Also, dip ANY taquito in sour cream and I really like cheese in my Mexican🤤😋😋
You could use the tune from Jump Jive for your "apron bounce"! : )

erin eats : this episode "brilliant or beast"
And the frozen chicken and cheese taquitos by old El Paso are the best and only way to go and they are really easy bc u can just microwave them for like 2:00
If you're gonna use corn tortillas, try frying them next time
As usual this was funny. We like to say things funny on purpose too
but I hate when people say things incorrectly because they don't bother learning new things.
use black beans instead of refried beans. cook up some rice or quinoa and stuff your leftovers in peppers for stuffed peppers. yum!
Don't let comments get to you (if that's why you kept correcting yourself)
woo good job!!
Would like to see you grill some ribs and make all the fixins to go with it.
"Anne Lloyd & The Sandpipers - Bouncy Bouncy Bally"
There's your" putting on your apron song"! 👍🏻😉
The song should be...
Putting on my apron
Bouncing it on
It's time to start baking
So let's end this song
Has anyone ever told you you kinda look like Emma from Bates Motel? Cause you totally do!
Kendra sechrengost she totally does
You wear a lot of buttons-downs. This looks yummy. Thanks love you xoxoxo
You should use Dingleberry bounce for your bounce song.
here's you apron bounce song it goes like this "do the apron bounce what what do the apron bounce what what DO THE APRON BOUNCE!!!!(screaming)"
Erin is so precious.
The Nopeness yeah
please do fried okra please please pleaseeeeee
Try mixing dry ranch mix and taco seasoning mix. Bet you'll get the taste you are going for.
You need an official apron bounce song!!!🎶 You could write one with Josh.
Aubrey Madelyn yes she really should
Yummy 😋
Adam is right though... the real taquitos from the store taste better bc they pump them with generic crap and fry them. These are wayyyyy healthier so of course they are going to taste different... but you made me hungry!
You should try Parmesan chicken nuggets. They're really good!
Mia Elaina they're called nugs
i think theres lines on the wrap thing that you roll them that direction
You should use Bounce with me by Jay-Z
Emily yesssss
When I saw the title was taquitos experiment, it reminded me of Josh's haters experiment and the kinoki foot pad videos lol
Try steak & vegetable zucchini boats!! So good
My name Taquilla and I love my Taquitos!
Tor Till Uh
this girl is awesome 😁
Chorizo!! I make them with ground beef and chorizo. Hardly any extra spices needed.
Adam is correct. The refried beans may be the culprit. They're heavy and a bit more wet than the rest of the ingredients.
ERIN!!!!!!!💞💞💞💞
I got this idea from someone else but... SING THE BOUNCE WITH ME PART FROM THE DINGLBERRY BOUNCE IN YOUR VOICE
Love you so much❤️❤️❤️❤️
yummy
You have to lightly fry the tortillas first so they don't break
you should try green chili chicken enchiladas.
2nd comment!! I love you channel so much Erin!
I love intro ❤💕 and can you make lazanua
Whoever's hacking these videos, NEED TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who else got hungry after this video?? XD
I usually microwave a few tortillas at a time, then roll then and fry in oil.
Roll them*
Try adding some cheese :) it'll give you a little more flavor! I just made them and they were perfect!
I think it would be cool if you would write the "bounce" song with your brother Joshua
HOPING FOR AN APRIL FOOLS PRANK
Next time try the flour tortillas, they are softer and would roll a lot better. But that recipe looks pretty good :)
Liz Yale Then they'd be a flauta not taquito lol! flautas are made with flour tortillas and taquitos are made with corn tortillas.
PaisaV11 I have bought taquitos that had flour tortillas instead of corn. They can be made with either one.
Yes, American versions for resale may be made with both, but definitely not authentic. :)
Put Joshes dingleberry bouce song as your official bounce song🤗❤
Bounce Bounce Do the Bounce Do the apron bounce
Thanks. I want some now!!
You should try to make flan
Please make spaghetti pie!!!!
loved it very funny
those look so freakin yummy
great recipe. but you forgot the cheese!!
