A friend of mines 9 year old son died in a traffic accident on his birthday. This song came on and I saw that beautiful red haired child happy and dancing in heavens sun shiny rain. That was over 20 years ago and everytime I hear this song I still see David splashing joyfully through heavens rain.
I used to listen to this track on WJJZ 106.1, a smooth jazz radio station from Philadelphia. I remembered part of the track name, and was able to acquire the whole track and composer name after hours of search, and found this video. Thank you!
Wow! I forgot all about this artist. I have this on a cassette tape somewhere when that's all you had. That's how I used to operate until CD's were the thing. Was listening to some other jazz tunes and this popped up out of no where! It must be my lucky day or something. Awesome. And I think I heard initially on 101FM KKCY when it was on in Portland. Miss that station.
Gracias por subir esa maravilla de canción, tiene un estilo a Gregg Karukas en esa época. La escuché en el año de 1992 y no me acordaba cómo se llamaba. SALUDOS.
Weirdly, this album isn’t offered on Itunes, but “Emerald Mist” is listed now as a song called “Amazonia” on a compilation album called “Smooth Jazz, Vol. 2” by Warner/Chappell Productions. Sam Cardon must’ve sold the rights to this song at some point?
I actually like that album art, but it is missing the dark purple scalene triangle, pointing mostly left and overlapping the white space and the blue square. A stick figure with three mock-dreadlocks floating upwards over the head would be a nice addition of a faux-ethnic touch.
what i do with my time is just waste it i'm lucky i even have the motivation to work part time making just enough to get by and i was classmates with Sam and Kurt and a talented enough musician back in school to have maybe made something of myself but all i've done is get part way through careers and screw them up and then get all addicted to things and divorced and poor and discouraged if it weren't for my adult kids who care about me and are nearby i would probably be dead by now so thats how things go folks and if you're young just...don't screw up do things the right way
And thats the truth and just the way my life is and doesn't seem to be any hope because even though i believe in certain things i can't make it work in my life

One of those SPECIAL tunes that comes on late at night unidentified and you're never able to find.
Thanks !
Everytime this comes on I stop what I'm doing and just listen. Magical!
