Try a bigger size to fix the pulling around the low abdomen area. Also, a wider leg that hits just above the end of the heel are much more flattering for petites bc it gives the illusion of longer legs.
Thanks for the tip hun! My issue with going with the bigger size is it’s too big in the waist sadly 😕 usually a curvy fit will help with that(at least with denim jeans) but not always 😕🙈
Talbot's carries a variety of petite trousers. I would like to see a video on where to get petite trousers that are pleated, longer and fuller in the leg. That is my challenge right now. I also prefer natural fabrics such as wool, cotton, and or linen. I liked the first pair on you the best from Express. Thanks for helping us petites!

I just received my Banana Republic Hayden trousers. I've been sick all week so I haven't tried them on yet. They look great on You! Although mine are a 4. Hope they fit me like yours do on you.
I love Loft, Ann Taylor, & Banana Republic for petite slacks. I don’t care for pleats but there are plenty of options in these three brands without pleats. 😁
Yeah! I feel like pleats are actually less common :) at least I personally didn’t find many options haha :) but there are tons and tons of options for slacks which is great 👍🏻

Love the Hayden pants. Bought two pairs. It is really hard to go back to trousers that don't have elasticized waist. My closet is full of really nice trousers, but i keep reaching for the comfy ones.
I make a lot of my own clothes because its so difficult to find petite styles. A little hack on the see-through pocket…replace the pocket fabric with a nude shade of fabric. Its an easy fix even for non sewers😊

They just have a little stitch there that you have to open up :) it breaks open easily if you just pull on it :) I’m not sure why brands do that but I noticed when I had the pants inside out there was a pocket sewn in! So I opened it up and behold!! Pockets!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Love the Express pants on you but trousers, especially the looser ones, should be a lot longer in length to make legs look longer, especially for petite women. My favorite trousers are from Aritizia. I’m 5’1. Love your videos.

I bought petite trousers from banana republic and they shrunk up super short after a cold hand wash, hang dry. I am bummed bc now I am 5ft with high water pants. Be aware.

Yes! I love it! As long as the fabric isn’t bulky and the pant isn’t scrunching at the bottom :) just my take on that!
Try wearing a size 2. All pants are too tight on you and a bigger sized would be more flattering.
Personally i don't think the first pair of trousers fit you well. Maybe it's the colour, maybe it's the (almost) barrell leg, but they actually give you quite some extra pounds in the inferior part
Pleats are not for anyone with a little belly.

Personally, I do not! The creamy colored express ones is as wide/ baggy I would go. :)

Express pants are so thin though. The material is just too thin and feels inexpensively made.
for me - this is HUGE problem. I can try in a shop 100 trousers and NONE of them fit. I am used to have it shortened by tailor, but that is not the only issue. I am petite -150cm, 50kg, wide hips and very short torso. Almost every trousers end just below my breasts and they have too narrow waist for me. I am not plus size, so If I choose bigger size, it does not fit. The waist in bigger size is always higher and you cannot tailor this. I have like 2 pairs of jeans and that is it.
I can relate to your issue! I have found after trying on several jeans/pants that either a mid rise or low rise fits the best because of my short torso body. It’s hard to find these at the moment as most pants are high rise pants. My latest find is a pair of mid-rise vintage jeans from Madewell. I highly recommend checking them out. Just make sure it’s the mid rise style. Good luck!
Elana, don't be married to your 00 size. Go up one size -- trousers are supposed to graze your form. It's chicer that way and gives a cool, modern vibe. All these pants were painted on you.
Sorry to say this,but there's to much puckering around the low waist area. I think you would look better in a bigger size. Look at all the wrinkles,not flattering.
Elastic waists equals old looking and back zippers.
This disappointed me, because I didn't like any of those. There used to be better fitting, more modest pants than they have now. Everything is too tight in the butt/thigh area (which is bad as you get a little older and have bumps), or it flares out there in a weird way. Plus, the fabric is so thin. I appreciate the effort, though.

@@ElanaKinda It's not you at all. This was an excellent video. It is just the brands that I'm disappointed in. If you are over 35, some of those just aren't appropriate for work in the way they are meant to fit.
