I’ve always found it super interesting that the jiralhanae are such a recent addition. Specifically because they were going to be many members of the covenant, who would be old enough to remember a time before their arrival. We know for sure that the sangheili are VERY long lived by human standards and that there are at least some jiralhanae old enough to remember a time before their covenant integration. (The Chiefton from the final issue of the atriox comic series for one) you’ve got to imagine that having that transition still be in living memory would be a massive source of resentment and rivalry, even without the political machinations of the prophet of truth.
It seems like there were plenty of pack leaders that were desperate for a higher calling and quickly joined the Covenant. I think a few of those leaders used the transition to acquire power quickly and secretly, like Tartarus.
@@phoenixaffliction makes me think that he would be perfect as the protagonist of a full of Reach style novel from the jiralhanae perspective. Going through. Lots of potential there.
Except for Reach, Harvest for 6 years, Arcadia (Dont know how that turned out) and parts of earth. We put up a good fight but let's face it, if we never found the Halo the battle of Earth might have been much worse.
@@aurorialgaming1935if we never found Halo, it’s literally Death. Either the Covenant will release the flood on the Ring and nobody will stop it. Pretty much. They forced species to join and basically manipulated and exploited them for the prophets own gain. Surprised the Unggoy Rebellion and Great Schism didn't happen sooner.

So basically the prophets just bombed you until you either fell in line or ceased to exist. Brutal but not innefective.

That's a fair point! Didn't think to add them. I don't think we actually know.

Sure do friend. Too bad we'll probably never get an update on them. I made a video on them earlier if you wanna check it out@@VERTEX7101
