You've made some good progress, nice to see such lovely and skilled people working together. Not a big fan of the "let's change the control arm on one side only" approach though...
My mechanic has welded a new flex pipe in and it lasted for years without a problem (2.8 V6 Audi). He also did it like it is nothing, he didn't charge many hours of work. I was amazed by the welding skills, some people are just awesome.
You and Tasty Classics are my joint favourite UA-cam channels! Another brilliant episode. I bought a bunch of tickets for the car, and I'm so glad some of that goes to Alder Hey. Top quality all round. PS I used to work for Audi. I feel you pain...
As an Audi tech and avid Not Economically Viable watcher. Hats off to you 🍺 my Aunty has a 52 plate one currently in bits. May have to have it off her one day 🫣
Hi, I just came across your channel, and I admire what you do. I'm someone who tries to fix most of the issues myself but has to do a job as well to support my family, so when I see you working on your cars, it's fantastic. If you need an inexperienced mechanic, just drop me a text😁.
@@NotEconomicallyViable you can make your own pipe with flare tools and screw it into the flex pipe, it's easy and probably cheaper than buying original
On the front right where brake line was corroded-just get a flaring tool, few connectors and a small piece of brake line. Including the flare tool it cost me £20 and I cut the corroded section out which was just 100mm long. No need to replace the whole brake line.
suspension arms should be tightened up when the weight of the car is on the supension as that is common place. if you tighten on a lift with the wheels drooped then put it down. it will twist the bushings and they will be flexed at rest. then when you hit a bump in the road it can tear them.
I keep getting shivers down my spine whenever I see the number plate on that beast. Ive bought loads of tickets in an attempt to win it. My initials are RSB and I own a C6 RS6……..
Great Video Nino.. Come on man.. 100k is just around the corner, I hope US international viewers can get some of that SWAG too soon.. take care my friend..!!
it aint a bad car now, good on You Nino! Once it's all finished up someone gonna be happy with it, especially for 99P.. Good choice to leave the welding part for a pro. it looks neat now, much better than what you could've done..
Good thing you took him on the welding. It is a tricky weld to pull off. :) I know a lot of mechanics that would just slap exhaust putty on it without welding and give it a go.
Bloody hell fire Nino, was struggling to get my earphones to connect to my PC, finally got them going just at the bit when your mike went crazy. Totally thought my near buds were screwed🤣🤣🤣 happily not ,but had me going for a bit. Keep up the good work, great stuff in your vids.
Another great update Nino, and loving the content... Currently watching from the Montalbano mountains in Tuscany wearing my Not Economically viable t-shirt! 😃 (The wife says it suits me! 🙄)
Bro im a big fan, super happy to see you getting the rs6 back to roadworthy but be careful filming the welding on camera cause usually they end up breaking lenses haha
I've just bought one of these in Daytona pearl, about 2/3 the price you paid for this one, needs some bodywork but will get there, maybe it will have a twin parked next to it on the drive in a few weeks time 😉
Hydrahose Chelmsford, Norton Hydraulics Braintree and Anglia hose & hydraulics Colchester have all saved my arse on numerous occasions for manufacturing one off solutions to all sorts of pipe problems.
Super to see your progress, and your constant humility and good humour. I am really looking forward to seeing your welding training - I need to learn to improve my skills. Best of luck!
Just a thought on the paint job. Would it be worth including the paint job in the prize but if someone wanted a full repaint say they could pay extra. Just a thought
You need to be dropping off a box of beers to Tim the mechanic next door.
Weekly as this will be an on going relationship
Big 👍👍up to tim for taking on the welding.
Nice bit of welding considering it's a rusty old exhaust pipe.
Get a wee ultrasonic cleaner that will sort the washer jets
Tim at Torque Monkey rocks! 👏👏👏
❤ from Kenya, absolutely love your content, your sense of humor always cracks me up.thank you

You are the mr bean of the car mechanics. I love your content dude ❤
As an s6 owner I would love to win this car. I would also hate to win this car. Fabulous and horrendous at the same time.
I see the lift doesn't get old lol and ya loving it, it won't get old anytime soon, enjoy it matey.

Get Tim on the channel full time! He’s funny 😂
Tim has some great welding skills, cheers!
great results mate! The bonnet absolutely lifted the exterior and top stuff with the exhaust fix from Tim too! 😎
One of my favorite channels. You are killing it mate!

Paying other mechanics to fix the car in your own garage. Now that's what I call Not Economically Viable!
😂😂
@BlazingsNL Everyone has to learn what they don't know, you were the same before you learnt
I do what can, learn as I go, and pay for what I cannot, works for me!
@stuartbarber7784 I can do just about anything mechanically but I've never welded. Going to have to learn PDQ as I've just bought a 40 year old VW T3
@@c1tlr340 I guess the joke went over your head

Nearly there. Looking forward to whatever is next. Good on you for admitting you needed the help. Have a good week. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
Tim's a star...👍.
That 90° metal pipe on the end of the original flexi, looked to be removable, it had a hex nut where it meets the flexi?
It’s all one thing unfortunately

To Tim, as a welder that supplied OEM exhausts for the Landrover L494, L462 & L405, top job mate!

Ninos already got the flaring tool
And next month another section will need replacing.
@@bikeman123 I did mine 4 years ago and nothing needs replacing yet.
In this condition the brake line can be cleaned using a steel brush and painted it, will last for years.
Same welder as mine! R-Tech have an updated version now!

Hankook are great tires!
Bought 10 tickets , fingers crossed 🤞 ❤❤

Great Video Nino, thats just taken 45 minutes of my first day back at work!! Perfect!
I LOVE this channel! this man is a LEGEND
Can't wait to see this car on my driveway 😎
Great insight into how brutal it is trying to old cars back on the road in the uk because of the mot test
Flexi in my van had failed and went to an exhaust shop where the guy cut it out and welded in another. Works fine.
My favorite channel nowadays

Almost a 100k subs! YOU. DESERVE. THAT.! Awesome work mate!
Another great vid! Please keep working on cars of this era!
Have lusted after these RS6’s since watching Layer Cake about 20 years ago. Keep up the good work.

Just entered the competition! Loving these videos Nino. Keep up the work you’ve come a long way 😅
Tasty Classics pointed me in your direction. Looking forward to more fantastic content, thank you
I need brake lines doing on my mini.... Off to see Tim 👍 awesome vid as always
That V8 sounds so good. I could listen to it all day.
washer jets.
Get a wire brush, put one of the wires into a metal vice and pull it out.
It should be the right size to clear and adjust the jets.
Another great video on the RS6! Look forward to the next one! tempting me more and more to get some tickets!!
Nice to see Tim helping you😊 👍
Tim has done a super job. It looks OEM. 😮👌
those weldings are wonderful. damn!
I’ll buy a ticket but think the car is not economically viable to keep. Great videos though.
Nice car but a future money pit.
You're a good man. Lovely work.
man take us on a ride with that baby we want to hear it roar!
Faz is a legend for breaking C5s.. got loads of RS6/A6 C5 bits for wicked cheap off the guy.. 💪🏽
I would jack it up to ride height and torque the suspension bolts. Measure the center of the wheel to top of the wheel arch before lifting the car

Beautiful car, can't wait for you to sort it out and have some fun driving it :)
I think this is an amazing UA-cam channel, best of luck for your future endeavours 😎
nice car to win as a spare car..but new owner will need to write down a number for max to spend before selling and stick to it!
Let's get this channel to 100k soonest.
Entered, you're doing great work for a great cause
Hello from France, Sainte-Mère-Église.
Good to be so close to other car people.
Repairing these cars will need careful planing and a lot of clever tricks to cap costs
Another your video before sleep , love it :D and pls can you put maybe 60FPS in your videos?
Have been a fan since day one Nino. You just get better with every video. Can't wait for the next one 👍🍛
Loving this mate, huge progress and great you have experienced people around happy to help for a sheckle or two! 😉
Can't wait for the next video on this Rs6 . Will buy a couple of tickets too ❤
NEV autos sign needs to go up outside the workshop just for giggles. I'm gonna buy some tickets as i love the rs6.
Sometimes, you gotta raise your hands and admit defeat - we all hate it, but having Tim and his team around is deffo a touch.
Got the same Hankook tyres on my F56 Mini. Good wet weather grip and reasonably priced.
Had the same problem, I was looking at an entire new exhaust, but saved by a good welder.
You can take that end of the brake pipe flexi by the way
Amazing video as always! Gunna increase my tickets purchase on payday by another 20 me thinks 👀
Nico, just seen a tweet on "x" by "luden automotive"....Triumph spitfire, bright red, looks good...sold for £810 including fees!!
Love your videos 😊 Cheers Sue

Tim deserves some beers for that mate haha great video
That’s a big lump of a car for that lift your a brave man
bro please blur the trade plate. if its yours or not. People copy them as they know its currently valid.
As they can when the car is out on the street...
From people who are attracting much less attention (non UA-camrs).
Top man tim looks great with the new bonnet good result getting mot like this car
Nice work, ive entered. If i win i'll give it a nice home.
Just a thought on the paint job. Would it be worth including the paint job in the prize but if someone wanted a full repaint say they could pay extra. Just a thought
dang it... i wish i could buy a ticket for that car but im a bavarian mainland peasant
Tell Tim to also start a UA-cam channel
I haven’t gone anywhere… why do you keep telling me to come back? 🤣 Great video on one of the best sounding cars ever 👏
Missed opportunity to replace all the flexi pipes with Stainless Steel braided, Goodridge is my favourite.
Great channel. Subscribed. Random question where do you buy your jeans?
Nice one can’t wait to see next keep going bro ❤
Well done keep up the good work love the video's and the constant learning.😂
Hi the wire expanding joints are available to but at SES Motor Factors don't waste your money on new cats cheers norm Hampshire
That welding looked a right pain , dunno how he got above that pipe not easy work
You must be spending more money than your making. Great Audi vlog.
