I saw these at a crafting fair recently. I walked past the booth and looked up Crocheted Chapstick Holders and found you! I thought, “I can do this”! I’m so excited to learn. Thank you for teaching us. 😊
Loved this tutorial!!! I used a 5.25mm hook with the video but it ended up being a little big. But i restarted with 4 sc in the beginning and doubled to 8 and kept everything the same and it came out perfect!!! Thank you so much!!
I started making these a while ago and my daughters and all their friends and Co workers love them. They put them on their keys, backpacks, water bottles. Love them. My youngest has several to match all outfits.
My son’s a pharmacy tech at a hospital n he uses chap sticks all the time. I’m going to make him a few of these in various colors. Thank you! And for others for little Christmas gifts!
this was my first crochet project and i did it today!!🎉 i made a light blue one with a golden ring. it took me 3 hours since i am a newbie, and my fingers hurt 😂 but it was so fun. thank you so much for the tutorial 💙
Oh my gosh Pamela, you posted this just at the right time! We are chapstick fiends in my family! I'm going to make a bunch of these and put chapstick in them as stocking stuffers! Thank you!!!!
I have just made two of these very quickly. I am almost addicted to Burt’s Bees Chap stick. I have severe dry mouth and lips due to chemo. I put one on a key chain and one I crocheted a loop on and put it around the knob on my side table. I kept knocking it off my table several times a day, but no more thanks to you.
This is a fantastic video. It's clear, it's easy to follow, and your voice is lovely. I started making this and got carried away because it dawned on me that this is the first time I've come close to understanding how to crochet a glove with fingers! Such a useful tutorial - my cosy hands will be grateful
Thank you! I am a beginner, but this is easy for me. Such a great, handy, and adorable craft. Great video, you are a very good teacher and I really enjoy listening to you. I feel like we are neighbors having coffee. 😁
Cute idea. They would be cute for birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Memorial Day, new years, anniversaries, 1st day of school, schools out, spring break, get well, you could even use lipstick and make seven days of different colors, have a different color for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It would be so pretty in different colors like pink, blue, yellow, green, orange and purple and put in an Easter basket, Christmas stocking, or a mug.
Super cute idea. Thanks Pamela. My daughter uses chapstick like there is no tomorrow....I will have to make her a few....and yep great craft fair item. You are the best. Sheila
I’m new to your channel and to crochet. I really want to crochet like you someday!! Your amazing!! I love this!! 👍🏻 have to have my chapstick every day. Thank you for sharing. 😊
I made one along with you and it worked out beautifully. I used the I Love this Cotton and it took about 8 yards and 1 skein of the varigated variety of this yarn will make 20+ lip balm holders. I'm using some swivel D-rings with a clip that I found on Amazon $8.99 for 50
Hey girl, I just finished making twelve holders for my co workers. They were so easy to make. I did find a 12 pack key holders for 3.88 on Amazon, which was 👌. Thank you again for the great tutorial.
Hello Pamela, these are great. I love this activity. the kids get chopstick from Labafana every year and it is the feast of the epiphany when the wise men find baby Jesus. 💕NonnaGrace
Hello, I made a bunch of these. Love the pattern and how quickly they work up. However, I was using a different Chapstick than you displayed and just realized the holders are too big for a standard Chapstick. So the Bert's bees is .15 ounces and so is a standard Chapstick and they are falling out of the holders. How can I adjust the pattern to make the holders smaller? Thanks, in advance. Just an FYI: I used the correct hook and the 100% cotton yarn.
She says to go down a hook size. I made one, with cotton yarn and a 3.75 hook as she did, it fits the chapstick nice and tight. I saw your comment and bought the chapstick brand to guide me. Maybe start with 4 single crochets in the magic loop to start. That would make it narrower. Good luck
I cranked out 28 lip balm key chains today. So easy and quick! Sending them with Christmas cards. Thanks Pamela!
Wow!! I am impressed!!
Starting a small lip gloss business and thinking about doing these as free gifts. Thank you so much for this simple tutorial! ❤️
You are so welcome and good luck on your new adventure!!
Perfect!!! My chapstick obsessed kid will LOVE THIS!!!!!!

Too cute! I struggle with the magic ring. Is there another way other than the MR to make these too cute holders?
Ch5, SL ST to BEG CH and work 5SC in Circle. See if that works for you.

If i want to have a different color of yarn on the half of it?how would I do that?
Just crochet up to the row you want and then switch the color to another color.
Could you please tell me where you got the hooka for your caddy.🧶💕🧶
Amazon and Michael’s sells them.
I have made them before .
They are very easy to make.
ls good for lipstick
😍🌹🌹🌹😍
anyone know how to do this without the yarn needle ?
Do you not want to use a yarn needle?
@@PamelasAdoringCrochet i just don’t have one
Maybe you could leave a longer strand and tie just tie some other stands with it and have some hanging fringe on one side. I think that would be cute.
@@PamelasAdoringCrochet thank you !
Your welcome. Have fun.

You went to fast I have a hard time with the magic circle and I'm left handed
