The dogs yes this pony is a train wreck without that leg. All 4 legs are not correct it’s in extreme pain as an equine owner I can’t even tell you how sick this makes me. Some are recoverable this poor critter is not this is so wrong

It's extremely difficult, time consuming, and resource-heavy to save a horse with a bad leg; they never adapt like dogs and cats do. Most of the time, if a vet suggests a prosthetic, instead of euthanasia, they're preying on your grief. You have to be a person who has the resources and time to make this type of commitment.
This man has a great heart. It's clear that despite missing the leg, and despite having a wonky gait, Angel's still living her best life and adapting with the help of the tools being given. She's socializing, playing, and enjoying being alive.

Here's Angel now. Turns out she lived, and her legs straightened out because of this vet's work and the prosthetic and leg brace, and she gets around fine with and without it.

It doeant seem to be her prosthetic leg that's bothering her its completely destroyed other legs.
Her real front leg bows inward and her pasterns are totally blown out.

In this video she's only had the prosthetic leg for 6 months. Her other legs are blown out because that's how she learned to walk before she had the prosthetic, to compensate for missing the front leg (as horses normally carry all their weight on their front legs). They hoped with time, being able to lean on the prosthetic will help her get weight off her rear legs so they can straighten up a bit.

Her lifespan will probably be artificially shortened due to the amputation and its affect on her overall health, because the way she's walking on her back legs isn't good for her joints, but for now she seems happy enough, enjoying her apples; in her eyes that is probably better than 'being dead' just yet.

its still horrible to see and should have never happened. there is no amount of time that will allow those other legs to "heal" because she realistically still has to use them in the same amount even with the prostetic.
this is whoring out a horse for donations. this horse is in pain every waking moment of its life. it cant do things a normal horse ca n do. it cant even exist without daily human irritation
my own horse has had EMS for that last 5 years. when i made my original comment 3 years ago it was well managed and she was fit as a fiddle. no sadly i have decided that because she can no longer run or exist without pain i am going to be putting her down at the end of the summer or whenever she goes down. this is mostly due to damage from winter laminitis and people thinking they can feed my horse whatever they want without consequences.
I'm not going to whore out my horse for views, money and reputation. its sick, cruel and heartless. I don't understand how they can let this keep going on.

Actually, to me, none of her legs don't look particularly good. She looks like she was struggling with her back legs as well as her front, don't know if that's right or not. But she looked like she was walking fine with the prosthetic leg and it was her other leg which was the problem. I don't know whether she is still ok now or not, but you can clearly see that this is someone who really cares for their animal, and doesn't want to see them being put down. You can tell when a horse needs to be put down from their eyes, that pony didn't have that look. That's just my opinion.
Her hind fetlocks look awful. She is suffering constantly. If she were mine, I would have her euthanized.

The horses who have gotten a back leg prosthetic actually seem to do really well but the front ones not so much....
They bear most of their weight on the front legs. Angel only got her prosthetic six months ago; she's spent most of her life with all her weight on her back legs, and that's why they're angled all weird, as that's how she adapted to walk/hop around. The hope was the prosthetic could help her put more weight on her front again and help save those back legs. Being forced to rely on her back legs like this is not great for her joint health, and her lifespan may be artificially shortened, but at least she has any lifespan left at all and she seems happy.

This is horrible!!! That poor pony should’ve been put to rest, this is torture at it’s finest! The legs are bent out of shape and there’s a reason vets will refuse prosthetics on horses!! It doesn’t work with their anatomy no matter what. This poor poor soul, needs to suffer because of people. Disgusting!! I can’t believe this man even went through with this surgery and went even further to profit so much off of the popularity of unaware people. So so sad- this poor horse 😥

@@labj143 Once you understand the responsibility of owning a horse, then you can come back to me. Otherwise, don’t bother replying. I’ve worked with countless rescues and organizations and have rescued 3 horses of my own. Let’s hear your experience with it.
@@labj143 Wanting to live certainly doesn’t mean wanting to live with chronic pain. I am currently in chronic pain after breaking my back and if I don’t get some relief I am absolutely going to end it as soon as I get my kid out of high school and into college.

Angel's literally walking around eating apples, butting her face happily into people, and socializing. She has sufficient quality of life to be worth saving.

That Mini is a train wreck you should be ashamed of yourself there is so much more wrong with that animal than just that leg that leg is horrifying and looks very uncomfortable but the hind feet on that poor little animal they are not right they will never be right they are not fixable the humane thing to do would be to let that poor little animal go and you didn’t do it because you want brownie points that is so disgusting the dogs I get. that Mini that is so wrong. Lol, calm down Karen, Angel lived, it's been six years, she's an adult and beautiful and strong and healthy. In this vid she's walking on her rear legs weird because she learned how to walk three-legged. Horses are supposed to put the majority of their weight on the front legs and she's had to adapt/compensate for being unable to walk on hers. The point of the new prosthetic is to get her weight back on her front so her rear legs can straighten out and reduce joint strain and improve her quality of life.
Animals don't deserve to die just because you don't like how shaky they look when they stand up. They aren't automatically 'suffering' just because something is difficult for them; you're the one suffering because you don't like seeing it; that's your problem, not theirs. Angel Marie might not make it all the way to old age, but if she was suffering so bad she didn't want to live anymore, she'd be letting people know. Instead she's home socializing with her buddies, nomming her apples, and living her best life.
